Presence

Irrigo is light, that cannot be seen. A tale, that never happened. A memory, that encompasses everything.

Irrigo is often compared to a sound of a falling tree, when no one is around to hear that sound. According to the priest of Irrigo, that comparison is wrong, for this sound is not truly forgotten, but simply unknown. If we could come to this forest, we would see the fallen tree, we would know that tree fell and therefore the sound was heard, if not by ears of the living. Each action, each event, is alike crime, in that sense that there is always evidence and there are always consequences; yet there are perfect crimes. Such events are black stains on the gobelin of history, and such stains are the domain of Irrigo.

Actual appearance of the god is unknown, and it is rarely depicted by its followers.

In "Book of the Promise" he is described as "something immensely bright, yet somehow distant", through members of the Order of Names say that one should not understand that literally.

Irrigo is commonly imaged as a person without face, or a lantern emitting purple light.

Disposition

Irrigo is described as a rather passive being, which rarely meddles in affairs of mortals. However, it is believed that it looks kindly upon the insignificant, these who's death would not change anything, and who's life would not leave any trace.

Acts

According to the "Book of the Promise", Irrigo is the first thing ever truly forgotten and thus is as old as the universe itself, however it never interfered with the realm of the living until the First Pilgrimage, when Irrigo promised that "Whenever someone shall speak to me, i shall listen, and i will remember. Whenever someone will ask to be forgotten, i shall listen, and i shall help. Whenever someone will come to my palace, i shall welcome them, and i shall allow them to stay."

After then Irrigo returned Pilgrim to the living realm, so he could teach others of Irrigo's ways Shortly after that was formed the Order of Ceasing Sound.

Irrigo is believed help people who seek to be forgotten, however the reasons of such a desire are not important to Irrigo, so a lot of people praying to him are evading attention of the authorities.

Cults

The Unheard: The common worshipers of the Irrigo. Occasionally, an Unheard could became a Historian. The Historians: The biggest branch of the Order of Ceasing Sound, whose main purpose is collecting and preserving knowledge. Traditionally, Historians keep a vagabond kind of live, traveling from settlement to settlement, teaching people about Irrigo and writing down stories of their life. Once in a while, a Historian could retire, and settle. Some of such Historians could become Nomads or Caretakers. Commonly, a Historian offers religious or psychological help for a small fee. Nomads: The second, smaller branch of the Order. Nomads seek a way to the domain of Irrigo, and rarely contact with the outer world. They believe that only truly forgotten can cross the bridge between the known and forgotten, and in order to become forgotten they cut any contacts with any living creature, but other Nomads and the Caretakers. A Nomad could one day attempt the Pilgrimage. Doing so, they lock themselves in their monastic cell and pray to the Irrigo, until they will reach the gates to Irrigo's domain. The Caretakers: The most devout followers of Irrigo, which keep and maintain Irrigo Sanctuaries, where the Nomads live, and take care of the Historian libraries.

Creations

There are no reports considering any anomalies that could be created by Irrigo, but considering its nature, such anomalies would likely affect the memory of a person interacting with them, which may explain the lack of reports.

Persons withe perfect memory are sometimes considered to be blessed by the Irrigo, as well as those with amnesia or other aliments that degrade memory.

Remains

The Gatekeeper asked the Pilgrim "How were you called?". Pilgrim answered, that not many knew his name and Death had taken them all.

The Gatekeeper then asked "What trace remains of you?". Pilgrim answered, that he once built a house, but it had been destroyed by sea. Pilgrim said that he once had friends, but they were taken by war. Pilgrim said that he tried to tell his tale, but no one ever listened.

The gatekeeper then asked nothing, and said that Pilgrim can go.

When Pilgrim passed through the gates, he saw the Iron Horizon stretching ahead of him, he heard the silence so loud that his ears ached, he felt the incorporeal ground beneath his feet, he saw the birds in the sky under him, birds so large that a single feather from their wings was bigger than a continent, he saw continents smaller than a colibri's feather; he stood there just for a second, he stood there for an eternity, he never even stopped. This place contained in itself everything that did not exist, or could not exist, or existed, but not there, and it was the Iron Horizon. It was eternal, it was thinner than a thought, and Pilgrim passed it.

When Pilgrim passed through the gates of Iron Horizon, he saw the Scarlet Horizon, he saw places where no one has been before, creatures unlike he ever saw, colours and sounds and forms. Each time his gaze shifted he saw something new, and no matter how hard he looked, he could not notice something he saw before. This place contained in itself everything that was yet unknown, and so it was infinite, and Pilgrim passed it.

When Pilgrim passed through the gates of the Scarlet Horizon he saw the Avid Horizon, he saw the place which is not, he saw place without time and without distances. This place contained in itself everything that was forgotten and Pilgrim passed it.

Then Pilgrim finally entered the {Silent Horizon}, the domain of the Forlorn, and he came to throne of Irrigo.

Pilgrim told his woe to Irrigo: how the sea taken his home, how war has taken his friends, how no one remembered his name and no one listened to his tale. The Irrigo then gave Pilgrim his Promise, and returned him back to life, so Pilgrim could tell others about it, and teach them about the ways of Irrigo.
