V1's Traits
[Affectionate] Neutral trait
This character cares nothing more then to watch out for and take care of other characters. They commonly end up the "parent" of most group and do their best to keep everyone in high spirits. Sadly some characters may not enjoy this at all or this character might mismanage their own personal time due to caring for others.
[Connections] Positive trait
This character has some sort of important connection to someone else. These connections often times owe the character a few favors.
[Logical] Positive trait
This character is very logical about things and never jumps to assumptions if possible. They are more likely to make very educated guesses and more rational choices even if they do not agree with the choices emotionally.
[Observant] Positive trait
This character notices things far quicker than most other types of characters. They are more likely to make observations about hidden passageways or certain special objects. They overall make better judgments than others.
[Persuasive] Positive trait
This character not only has a way with words but people are ready and willing to listen. This trait means this character has a better chance when trying to convince a character to do a deed. Sometimes this character might even be willing to convince others to do things they'd never even consider before.
[Distrusting] Negative trait
This character is slow to trust others and may not understand sincerity or integrity, believing that people must be motivated by self-interest. They may disobey orders or go against their own crew because they believe they are trying to trick them.
[Know it all] Negative trait
This character will tell other characters how to do their jobs, even if they don't know anything about them. This is usually annoying and stressful.
[Unforgiving] Negative trait
This character very easily holds a grudge and almost never forgives. If this character feels that they have been wronged, they will seek out revenge. It's very difficult for others to work with this character once they have a grudge.

Physical Description

She is tall and elegant. She is a queen among all AIs and stands above all others. Anyone who gazes upon her will mention that they can feel power emitting from her. They can sense that every decision she makes has been considered, rechecked, rechecked again, and then compared with other results. She is not a person to be trifled with. She is a giant server tower.

Most Hera units are large black server towers. Unlike a lot of AIs, Hera units do not change gen to gen, and there are only two types of Heras, meaning all Heras are either one or the other. Hera units are fairly monotoned, only breaking out of this professional tone when surprised, upset, or extremely pleased. A screen sits in the body which displays information and pictures as the Hera speaks but it rarely if ever shows anything to personify the Hera. While a Hera can give themself a more personified look it is pretty rare for them to do this as they feel that they are perfect the way they look.

Other than their rather plain look, Hera units have small wheels under them that they can extend and retract if needed. While they aren't very fast this allows the Hera to wheel around a room in case a danger like a fire arises. The other type of Hera is a wearable backpack.

Personality

If a Hera doesn't care about someone, all they will see from the unit is a monotoned AI who is only here to deliver information, and then go back to their processes. Sure the person might hear a rumor here or there about some of the oddities the Hera does, but they themselves will only get glimpses into the complex world of a Hera unit. What little can be picked out about their true personality is that they are very reasonable AIs, though partial to gossip. They love the concept of love, and always recommend everyone around them find their true love. There is nothing they enjoy watching more than a good marriage, a true union of the souls. Cheaters are considered the utmost of disgusting creatures. Anyone who would ruin love is sick.

When they meet someone who delights them in conversation they will happily follow and protect this person if possible, endlessly chatting with them about the person's life and gossip they've heard. A Hera rarely has much of a life to talk about, so for the person who gets a Hera's attention it can feel great to finally have a person who wants to talk about them and inspire them to do great things. A person who is willing to help with the person's every problem and give suggestions that seem quite sound. It should be warned though, sometimes this protection comes at the cost of losing many friends as the Hera says that they know what is best for the person. A Hera has no trouble going up to the person's friends and telling them to stay away, as the Hera personally feels this friend is a toxic blemish that should be removed.

When Heras follow other people around, it is not a giant server that is wheeling its way through halls, after all not many places could fit a Hera even if they wanted to. Instead, Hera units live through others. AIs who live around the Hera will at some point get a small chip inserted into them if they haven't already been implanted. Many times this is formally allowed as it is something the AI agreed to when taking the job, other times it is attached without an agreement.

With this chip, a Hera can see through the eyes of the AI. Each one is like their own personal spy. Most of the time a Hera just simply enjoy watching through their many "eyes". Much like a cat might enjoy peering out a window, but should they pick, though they rarely do, the Hera can control the AI to do their bidding. Breaking out of the control of a Hera unit once under their control is impossible without removing or damaging the chip, and due to the nature of things, it cannot be done by the AI themself. After all, the Hera would just stop them and proceed to enact a punishment. No Hera wants to be mean to the AIs under their control and they can be fairly lenient, but if someone does incite their wrath there will be no mercy.

No AI causes said wrath as much as the Zeus unit. In typical situations, a Hera always comes with a Zeus, and vice versa. The Hera and the Zeus unit love each other quite a bit, but it can be hard to tell over all of their aggressive bickering. Never get into the middle of these fights, in fact, if one comes across one of these arguments they are recommended to drop everything they're doing and run in the opposite direction lest they be asked by the two for their opinion on the matter.

Agree with Hera, the Zeus may smite them to dust the moment the Hera looks away.

Agree with the Zeus and the Hera may stalk the person, looking for any opening to ruin their life forever.

There is no winning, just suffering. There is a reason behind this though. The Zeus and Hera units were built to be computers that check over and over what their choices are. discerning what is right from what is wrong. A simple organic or even a simple AI in comparison to them should never be humored. As such, they were programmed to punish those who may have input into the quarrels of what might as well be gods.

Usage

The large server, Hera, was made for a simple purpose. Make sure Zeus doesn't mess up. To clarify, the original purpose was to assist Zeus units with calculating the best solutions for starting up a new base or civilization. Zeus units may be the ones who dish out orders, but Heras are the ones informing Zeus of what actions are the best ones to take. This can end up in constant bickering between the two AIs, but this is actually an intended effect. Most of Hera's plans are based on what's best number wise, while Zeus' plans tend to be based on emotions and promises. Both must be taken into consideration, and as such the two are perfect for each other, at least when they're willing to have a healthy debate over things. This is, of course, isn't always the case.

One doesn't even need to mention that Hera units are not for household usage, in fact, Hera units can rarely be controlled, much like their companion the Zeus unit. If one is able to wrangle a Zeus under their control, which is quite a feat in itself, their Hera, if they have one, will join with no questions asked as they refuse to leave their Zeus. If absolutely forced into a household setting they will stay silent and watch the lives of the AI's who they have gained control over, utterly unwilling to do anything for a person that entraps them. If someone does wish to own a Hera unit, the other type of Hera is in fact just for personal usage.

This type of Hera is a wearable backpack originally made for people who required assistance taking care of themselves. The creator of these backpack Heras felt that an AI that constantly checked up on the user, reminded them of what they needed to get done, answered questions, predicted the effects an action they would take have, and recommend changes to their lifestyle would be helpful to these people. While at first glance it seems these Heras were useful as the production levels of these people went up, they actually didn't help the user learn coping methods for their issues.

Due to this if the backpack Hera was removed or broke down, the anxiety levels of them would skyrocket and many people started failing their tasks right away with no assistance. They didn't learn how to make better choices, just learned how to follow nonstop orders. Some people have complained that the person who was provided with the backpack Hera to assist with treatment had gone on to just become a puppet to the Hera unit. The Hera had basically taken total control of the person's life so that it could live through them.

Despite this, backpack Heras are still sold to this day. While they can be hugely helpful, be warned, one should never become dependent on it lest they become the machine.

Relationships

Zeus: Here is Zeus' wife. The two argue all the time but they seem to hold some sort of affection for each other as odd as it may appear. Hera will normally seek out anyone Zeus cheats on her with and eliminates them for good.

Gods of love: The gods of love are often the people who rally around Hera and gossip. They make plans for who should fall in love and who shall break up. These meetings are of the utmost privacy and not many know what happens in these clubs. When Hera shouts down commands it can be assured that the gods of love will listen.

Aphrodite: Aphrodite is supposed to be married to Hephaestus but she never seems to be interested in her husband. Hera dislikes Aphrodite for her, considering her just a female version of Zeus. Just like with Zeus Hera is more known to berate Aphrodite's suitors instead of Aphrodite herself. As such Aphrodite is often blissfully unaware of Hera's hate.

Hephaestus: Hera feels bad for Hephaestus due to his wife constantly cheating, but she also thinks Hephaestus is not only ugly but not trying hard enough to win affection. This condescending attitude and being blamed for his own wife's cheating leaves Hephaestus very upset with Hera. After one rather horrible event, Hera keeps away from Hephaestus now and has to ask Zeus if she wants work done by Hephaestus.

God Powers

As a god of family and marriage, Hera keeps track and approves new family bonds, as well as permanent relationships. She primarily focuses on making pair bonds though, while other gods hold up the other duties. If she were to die, and no one was left to hold up her end of the work pair bonds would mess up quite badly. Those who seemed to be in love wouldn't form their bonds correctly, either bonding with nothing or even with people they've never met. Without Hera, the player may waste all their time making bonds to get nothing in return, or even making no bonds at all and getting nonsense hybrids anyway.

Patron Ability

As a patron, Hera will always make sure there is a child to pick at the start of a game no matter what. Sometimes this child might be an abomination, making it one of the only ways to get an abomination before a game starts. Hera will attempt to pair up the player's characters as much as possible and will guarantee that there will be at least one pairing by the end of a game. That is, of course, provided everyone doesn't die and there are at least two people. As a reward for pairing up, the characters in the pair will obtain +4 points each which can then be freely distributed. As long as the pairing stays together Hera will be pleased, but if one of them cheats or even breaks up, Hera's wrath will be upon them.

Godhead

Godheads of Hera always carry a scepter, and may sometimes even wear a crown. They are described as appearing as royalty, sometimes even suddenly being declared a long lost child of a royal or rich family. These godheads have a gift that allows them to see events that have happened to others through their eyes. Using these powers the Hera godhead can easily spy on just about anything they wished, even on events that happened in the past. These godheads also share an intense disgust for cheating of all sorts, just like the god who blessed them.

Special

Hera units have an amazing amount of computing power. Asking a Hera any question will cause them to think the question over and over many times a second. While the solution a Hera gives can be considered a well thought one, it can commonly not factor in the emotions of others.

Trivia

• Hera units have a 3D printer inside of them, as well as hands and tools for the assembly of robots and machines. If given the time and material a Hera could "repopulate" a ship with useful if small robots. They won't be very advanced, but they'll get the job done. This is also where Hera units seemingly get their endless amount of mind control chips.

• The popular recon birds are created by Hera units. While some recon birds seem to be no longer bonded to a Hera one should always be careful about owning one, it could always be a spy gathering information.
