Danger Level: Medium
Likes: Fish, Unsuspecting boats, Dumplings
Dislikes: Alpha porpoises, Observant sailors, Pepper
Attack Method: A slow and brutal process of eating those alive, legs up. Sometimes involves shaking the prey around.
A Drixiq looks like a common manta ray, though quite large compared to them. They have small triangular spikes running down their back, from five inches to about one foot in length. Drixiq also own a white underbelly to mimic the light of the sun to cloak them from creatures below, their backsides being a navy blue. These deep sea creatures have been known to eat half their weight per day and serve as pets to some aqualisces and occasionally quelan.
Drixiq are fairly similar to a sting ray, however possess the pod behavior of the dolphin. Despite their pod instinct, these creatures are rarely seen together due to them distancing each other to prevent being noticed by larger schools of prey. When and if provoked, these creatures will let out a loud cry and attempt to attack the instigator.
Guardian Drixiq: A guardian drixiq is a specially bred drixiq by pirates to guard islands with their treasure. They can easily remember and recognize people compared to their wild counterpart, meaning they will remember their owner.
Whistler: Whistler drixiq are completely black with a white dot on the top of it and bottom of it, usually in the same position. They are named whistlers due to their tendency to whistle every now and then, usually scaring away nearby predators.
Zirxiq: Zirxiq are a type of drixiq that have crimson red backsides, a second pair of fins, and large spikes, also known as "crimson horrors" due to their stealth and aggression.
• Drixiq can live out of water for 10 hours.
• Zirxiq can fly out of the water due to their thinner and more winglike fins.
• Drixiq enjoy the taste of dumplings due to their shape and texture, as they enjoy soft and spherical objects such as playing with rubber balls if tamed.
