Traits
[Semi-Infamous] Neutral trait
This character is somewhat infamous, either because of a past action or because of who their parents are. Some may react negatively to this character's presence, although others may seek them out for their reputation.

This character is able to easily come up with new ideas and may be able to lessen the cost for current items. In a tough situation this character is likely able to use simple items to create make-shift weapons or items.
[Passionate About Science] Positive trait
The character has a strong passion for some area. They might know more about this stuff than others, or may perform better on tasks relating to this topic than someone else with equivalent traits and skills.
[Denial] Negative trait
This character refuses to embrace a certain fact, something that has happened or will happen and will do anything to dance around the issue and pretend it is fine. This can be incredibly stressful for their crewmates as well as themselves leading to a decline in sanity and morale.

Physical Description

Celadon is a teal aftik with pale green to yellow feathers on their crown, tail, and belly. They can usually be seen wearing a rather stylized lab coat and a pair of swirly glasses.

Personality

Celadon is an aftik that is exceedingly passionate about science. They do not have a specific field, instead studying and experimenting with whatever catches their fancy, though they are more well known for their rather "unique" prosthetic limbs. However, this obsession has led them to neglect much of what others consider to be important safety standards, claiming that they just get in the way of true science. Due to this, they tend to spend most of their time in the lawless sector, where such things are not required by law.

Celadon often offers their more experimental inventions for free, which along with their tendency to leave out certain details when excited, has lured in many desperate, uninformed, or adventurous volunteers. This is not however, recommended, as while Celadon is a remarkably good scientist, these inventions have not been thoroughly tested and may have unintended side-effects. In addition to this, Celadon has a habit of adding their own "special touches" to any prosthetics that may be purchased from them, such as blade hands instead of regular hands, built-in wheels on robotic legs, and flamethrowers on replacement tails.

History

Celadon is noted to have briefly joined a crew that was travelling to Fortuna as an engineer. This trip ended in complete and utter disaster after only a single planet, with Celadon and the rest of the crew having been presumed dead for several months afterwards, due to the particular circumstances in which they were last seen.

Celadon later resurfaced and began performing more experiments in a lab in the lawless sector. It was unknown at first what happened to their crew, until being asked in an interview, when Celadon stated, "Oh, they died. I fixed them up though. And they're safe too! Isn't it great? I still have some more tests to run, but some day we might all be able to do necromancy safely!" Naturally, this has caused a large portion of the population to look at Celadon with disgust, with some even considering them a potential threat.

As for the crew themselves, there have been various sightings by those visiting Celadon's lab in the several years after the ill-fated Fortuna attempt, with reports on their condition being rather inconsistent at best. One such report claimed that one of the crew attempted to attack them, before Celadon quickly herded the crew member into a back room. They recieved no explanation for this, aside from that the crew member was in a "stabby" mood again. Later reports remarked that several of the crew had various parts replaced, or were wearing odd devices, including what was later identified via description to most likely be a heavily modified Ananke unit. All in all, it can be assumed that Celadon's claim of "safe" necromancy did not turn out as well as intended.

Special

None.

Trivia

• Celadon considers their greatest prosthetic to be a robotic arm which contains another robotic arm, which contains another robotic arm, and so on. When asked how many robotic arms it contained, Celadon simply stated that they would have to find out for themselves, then proceeded to offer to replace their current arm with it for free.

• Celadon has created a serum that allows a subject to regrow all of their teeth. This has the obvious side-effect of causing all of the subject's current teeth to fall out, and in seven to twelve percent of the population, the less obvious side-effect of causing hair and/or tail loss. Out of those experiencing the latter side-effect, a single individual claimed that they proceeded to grow teeth in place of their hair.
