Oh, oh! That's a jar of dust I found that, if you sprinkle over your shadow, turns it into a blessed being that follows you around! It doesn't talk or anything, but maybe it'll be useful somehow. Like a second pair of hands. It'll randomly disappear at some point. No idea why; perhaps it just gets bored of you.
