background

"Fate – monstrous and empty, you whirling wheel, you are malevolent, well-being is vain and always fades to nothing, shadowed and veiled you plague me too; now through the game I bring my bare back to your villainy." - O Fortuna, Carmina Burana

[Fortuna] is a game of choices.
The choices you make will be remembered, and characters may comment upon them.

Characters will gossip as the game goes on, they might have opinions on you even before you meet them.
Some will greet you kindly based on your actions.

Some will not.

If you have cookies disabled or if you frequently delete them sadly your choices will not be remembered.
If you do any of those things when coming to a choice or input take any [D] option.
This is the [D]efault, and shall always show up if you have no cookies to be found.

If you have accidently deleted your cookies, come back to this page and click the cookie option to re-input your data.
You will be able to regain most of what you lost.

You can also use it to make them forget what you've done.

Fortuna is best read on a desktop or laptop.

If using a mobile device, tablet, or with an extremely slow internet connection, consider using the [P] option.
The [P] option will always work best with those devices.

Time to time you will meet a radio on the top of your screen.

Clicking this radio is purely optional and will open a new tab.
This tab will play music that fits with the current section of the comic.

You can use the left and right arrow keys to navigate pages as you read.
The left and right arrow keys are disabled in cases where there are important choices.
It is suggested that if you are attempting to find a page to use the comic map instead.

Here's a list of all the tags you may see.

[D]efault, if the default option that will appear with every lasting choice. Best for those who have no cookies.
[P]hone or other devices, the recommended path for those on devices that are not desktops or laptops.
[V]ideo, a sign that the page contains a video and thus likely has auto play music.
[M]usic, a sign that the page has a link to music via a radio. Does not auto play.

Introductions now aside, I bid you farewell.
Please stay safe.
