[Fortuna]

Fortuna rolls a 20 sided die. She rolls a 19.

You swap to the other side of your crew in hopes to avoid attracting the attention of the Singer while you talk to your patrons.

Sbat Peake

[Sbat and Dus'te have successfully trained Pipsqueak without becoming ill. Pipsqueak now knows a few attack moves, as well as callback and stop commands in both verbal and sign language form. Sbat gives a thumbs up of approval to Dus'te.]

Kratos! Dad! I'm back!

I'm Kratos!

Student.....I'm your teacher.

Then I will be dad, and you will be Kratos!

..............

Guys, I'm making a joke, geez. I'm glad to see you guys!

It's ok that I can talk to you right now, right? Nothing terrible is going to happen? I hoped being this far away would make sure the Singer cannot hear you guys.

If it could, we might be dead already.

.............

.............

Well, I'm alive!

Joke, Kratos.

I know, I was just attempting to humor you to show that I was pleased with it.

Oh, sorry. But yes, peon, this is the correct way to contact us with a limbo god around. While they are unlikely to attack automatically, they will undoubtedly attempt to consume us sooner or later.

Glad to hear I didn't just doom you all! Hey Kratos, I want to thank you for making sure our crew didn't hit low moral. Without your help, we would have had the team break up multiple times by now! Especially due to Princess. What do you think about her?

A bit eccentric, but I suppose I do not mind her much. After all, her entry makes it clear that while she is the warden of a cruel prison, she does not approve of the way the prisoners are treated and how harsh the legal system can be. If I were to meet her, I am sure she and I would have much to speak about!

Speaking of protecting the crew, do you think there's a way to protect Clay from the Singer?

Considering everything he has signed up and interacted with, I believe even if we got him away from the Singer and locked that god up, Clay would still be doomed.

Helios, are you able to tell us how on track we are, game-wise? Do we need to focus on a way to get past the Nemesis ships?

I can tell you, but do you really wish to learn that info, peon? You may not be happy with what you hear.

Tell me. I can handle it. Giant odds never stopped me before!

Your game is already doomed. Your trip has been too delayed peon. When you get to Fortuna, there will be nothing there but Nemesis to mock you.

Doomed?

Is there any way I can fix this?

When you reach the spot Fortuna used to be, you have a 1 in 10 chance to refind the signal and have it only be one jump away. In that case, you would just need a ship that could jump twice in a row or a way to refuel in time. Other than that, there is only time travel, and it is better to accept the loss than mess with that. Never mind that it is unlikely there will be a time travel machine in the middle of nowhere.

How long can I play until it gives me a game over?

You can keep playing for a bit, but after a few days, the crew will feel doomed, and not even Kratos will be able to raise their morale. At that point, the crew will start to disband until there is only the captain left, and he will quit soon after.

Is there at least something we can do to improve our chances for the next game?

If you keep your crew alive and pair them up, you'll have hybrids to pick from the next game. This might be a good time to find good pairs, maybe even check a dating application.

This game....has a dating application......

Yes, for people who know they're not going to win and want to max out their hybrid as much as possible.
