Nikki jumps on the stool and before it tries to attack him, Nikki starts patting the robot. Whenever Nikki was really angry, mainly at Mr. Ratty for being bloody useless and leaving him to die, Mr. Ratty would just nuzzle Nikki until he stopped threatening to kill him. It worked pretty well.
