There is a region of space just beyond the reaches of the kaikian's borders which has remained completely abandoned despite the discovery of a plethora of habitable planets. Any and all colonization attempts in this region have been completely destroyed within a month of their founding, for reasons unknown. For this reason, most people do not venture out there.
