When I got this game, I brought it on a whim. It advertised itself has a universe simulator in a sense. I was prepared for disappointment and a refund as I brought it, but what I got was truly delightful. There was so much lore to the game, I couldn't stop reading the cosmodex for awhile. I played the game "normally" for a while, not that there is any "normal" way to play it. That is until by accident I destroyed my whole universe. Most people would be mad to slip up and have the game punish them in such ways but.....

I thought it was amazing.

I started doing, what people in the Fortuna community called, "Apocalypse runs". To put it simple, I just tried to end the universe as fast as possible. I joined a group of other players and we shared info on what we've done, how fast the universe fell apart, and of course, the interesting results it'd have on the next universe in the line. I've discovered a few things no one else knew about and have documented them, like-

- Notails are the white blood cells of the universe, if they go extinct many issues in the universe go unchecked and the results are hilarious. Notails killed anything the game deemed "OP" before it got too far. As such without Notails it is possible to put literal gods in to the game.

- By editing files directly you can change any AI in to a normal organic. Making a hybrid using this will destroy the universe.

- Using Eris to kill Helios destroys all stars.

- Angering Artemis to an extreme point (Pro tip, quickest way to do this is to use her to kill Apollo) causes all moons to start descending when on a planet. I have created a popular semi apocalypse run dubbed the "Majora's run". Where you land on a planet, get rid of your ship, and then spend the limited time you have finding a new ship before the moon hits the planet. I was once on a planet with 14 moons. Watching that conga line of moons was amazing.

- With enough ???s, also known as the Undermen it is possible to rip right into "Pre Fortuna" whatever game the devs built Fortuna on top of without deleting. "Pre Fortuna" is unstable and buggy. Your game is likely to crash but sadly the universe will still be safe and sound so I don't see any hopes for a run with this.

Today I was testing out if it was possible to make an apocalypse run centered around Hermes's quick save feature. The thought was simple, turning off the game in the middle of a game has a good chance of destroying files, so hopefully a quick save could do something like that but on a smaller scale. The experiment was a success but a tad too boring for me and unusable. Hermes was too quick to time it just right so this was more of a proof of concept.

I should have expected him to talk to me about this situation. The AI in the game were very impressive. I knew they were nothing but programs running their code but sometimes it felt more complex then that. Either way I was going to have to humor this thing and tell him that I wasn't going to stop, but shall I put him down softly or should I compose an arrangement of words that will utterly crush any slice of hope he had?

It wouldn't take me long to know just want to say.
