If you notice a small change to your game it's likely your patron doing it. It is important you pick a patron who likes you, if they dislike you they can harm you. You can have up to two patrons except in extremely rare special cases, but you have to use your achievement points to pay for your second patron slot. You should look at Helios' entry when you have the time.
