Captain Crimson is tired of being tired. This trip is a win win on both ends to him. If Crimson gets killed by something on the trip, then it's okay, he would finally be able to relax at last. If Crimson finds Fortuna then maybe he would finally find something to wash all his problems away and make his last few years easier.
