The "light" thing is just some hippie spirit thing. Aftiks are bloody obsessive with their lights. If anything the lights just dictate if you are a female or a male sexed aftik. Aftiks with dull colors are females and those with bright colors are males. This isn’t always right, as sometimes life likes to punch the rules in its face and make bright females and dull males.
