That appears to be a mind-controlling device. I know this because it says it right there in at the bottom of it. Clearly your mismatch of wishes made you gain an object that hits a middle ground. Fix the captain, control the Extrals and pretend to be god. Not sure how it’ll help with your horrible skills.
