Like he gets attacked by an one-eyed monster, a crew member accidentally sets the wrong co-ords into the ship just one jump away from home, his other ships land on a clockwork planet and get eaten, he has Helios's daughter fall in love with him, and then she gives him directions to the Underworld. Which last time I looked is impossible.
