The large Poseidon unit before you, holds out his hands to help you up....

You kindly thank the Poseidon for the help, but get up on your own. He gives you a slightly annoyed look but breaks back into a smile. You realize you're not sure where you are, and thus proceed to ask the AI about your current state.

Despite your refined actions before, you're starting to warm up to the stranger in front of you. You decide to go along with him, declaring yourself a "Rightful sailor of the seas" with a hoot.

You explain that you're a krell, or, at least you hope so! You don't remember much, but you at least do remember your species.

You rub the back of your head and explain you're a little...uh "geeky." The AI before you smile and opens his mouth to tell his son to grab you gear, but you become slightly nervous. You blurt out quickly that "none of the newer stuff, not that that newer stuff is bad! Just that you're more into the classics like "Boom Boom Love Universe."

You note that you're a cryptozoologist actually!

The first sapper buzzes with interest. It hops closer to you and vibrates its body. It seems a bit more intelligent than the others, carefully scanning its surroundings for danger.

The second sapper looks like it already has some modifications on it. High quality ones too. That being said it clicks its mouth soon after seeing you. Looking you up and down as if it's judging, before turning around and swishing its tail in defiance.

The third and last sapper can't stop bouncing around. It can barely pay attention. One second it's jumping on your clothes, the next second it's annoying the second sapper by biting and taking energy away from it. Even after the second sapper bashes into it, it rolls across the ground and springs back.

You try to pick a sapper, but the third one jumps into your arms. It looks up at you with such excitement as it buzzes. You smile, trying to ignore the AI's warning. You know that with careful enough planning and luck you can make sure your sapper's mind stays intact. You've never engaged in modifications on sappers (none that you can remember anyway) but you're sure you can just watch a few tutorials once you get enough money to get started. It can't be that hard.

The AI clicks to a pet. A furball flutters down and lands on his head.

You lower your head and apologize for your actions. You didn't mean to come off as crude to the Captain. You try to explain that you want to attempt to keep the mind of the sapper intact. You're panicking slightly, the world feels like a blur. You've never been good at knowing what people want to hear, but you do know that usually saying sorry stops this horrible feeling.

You try to ease the tension, by doing what you do best - cracking a (poor) joke as a defense. You laugh awkwardly and tell Captain Naut that you're a fish, and fish have spines.
