Do I need to read the Cosmosdex or Fortuna?
You do not need to read Fortuna. All you need to know is that the Fortuna story is about a game with shockingly realistic AI personalities. The main character, Yu, becomes obessed with saving the universe inside the game, while their friend, Cowboy, tries to remind them that the game is fictional. Yu later badly loses a gaming session and refuses to touch the game, fearing that they will destory the game universe if they touch it again. After five long years Cowboy attempts to teach Yu that video games and the characters within them are not real and not worth mentally harming one's self over.

Will this story remember the choices I made in the orginal?
Sadly the cookie system that Fortuna had was too hard to port over to this new system. While the defaults of characters will be used, it should be noted that canonically all your characters and Yu would have the names you gave them.
