What is this story about?
This story is about the absurdity of real life, and one's wish to enjoy a bit of escapism via a video game. This story is about realizing that a fictional world can have a large impact on your life, both positive and negative. This story is about trying to ignore the stress of the world yet being beaten down by powers greater than man, the reality imposed by the sun that keeps us alive. Despite all the flowery wording, it's a rather simple story, about a group of adults playing a video game, and about a person owning chickens.
Who is this story NOT recommended for?
This story is not recommended for those who are looking for a clear cut story with defined "good and evil" and clear cut lessons to be learned. This is not a story where the "bad guy" always loses, and because of that it can seem rather distressing to those who expected otherwise. This story is one that plays out, but overall lets the reader pick and choose what they want to gain from it.
Are there any warnings I should know about?
Depends on if you feel you require warnings. For most the story is fine to read without the warnings. If you require warnings please click here.
What is this "unnatural world" thing?
It is about the author realizing the social horror of owning a pet. If you haven't reached the part about the unnatural world, then my advice is "Haha, don't worry about it. You'll figure it out later." If you have reached it and are still confused, feel free to click on "unnatural world" in our warning list for a deeper explanation on the thought process surrounding it and the full context of why it is written the way that it is.
Do I need to read the Cosmosdex or the original Fortuna comic?
You do not need to read the original Fortuna comic. All you need to know is that the Fortuna story is about a game with shockingly realistic AI personalities. The main character, Yu, becomes obessed with saving the universe inside the game, while their friend, Cowboy, tries to remind them that the game is fictional. Yu later badly loses a gaming session and refuses to touch the game, fearing that they will destory the game universe if they touch it again. After five long years Cowboy attempts to teach Yu that video games and the characters within them are not real and not worth mentally harming one's self over.
Will this story remember the choices I made in the orginal?
Sadly the cookie system that Fortuna had was too hard to port over to this new system. While the defaults of characters will be used, it should be noted that canonically all your characters and Yu would have the names you gave them.

These are some weird hobbies.

How can I join?
You must be 18 or older and come across one of the current members of the site offering invites.
Why is it so hard to join the site?
This is because the site owner is a rather private person. Also, because the more people who are "playing at the table," the harder it gets to manage. You have a better chance of joining if you are just seeking to play the pet game and watch the story from the sideline.
Why do you need to be 18+ to join?
Personal preference, sorry. The story itself is not rated 18+, but if any section becomes too questionable, it will automatically skip for users who are not logged in to ensure their safety.
Is it ok to make original characters?
Yes, you can make OCs.
Is it ok to make fanworks?
It's always ok to make fanworks. Please credit the Cosmosdex or the creator of the character(s) whenever possible, as many characters are made and played by players in this game instead of the site owner.
