"Bzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz."

The beelitz buzzed as it waddled as fast as its legs could take it. A group were chasing it and it could do nothing but seek safety under King.

It was destroyed. The tailless leader didn't know how many bodies they saw as they were dragged, but it had to be in the millions. All because of that pesticide.

Birds had fallen from the skies.
Fish had drowned in their homes.
And from the body of bugs erupted godly sculptures.

And millions, and millions of sculptures dedicated to the gods.

But not everything had died.

And that was the problem. In the short time the pesticide had tainted the planet, the creatures once familiar, had turned twisted.

When they spotted the tailless one, they charged, minds filled with hate.

Could they have been radical tailed filled with a need for revenge, or animals who had escape the tormented containment the tailed had once made for them? It didn't matter either way. The results were the same.

Days turned into weeks, and then into months. In that time they had travelled within those walls. Seeing 4 large malfunctioning god machines reach into the heavens.

While the tailed knew this place as their last stand, the notails that would populate this area much later would know it as the Woods. A protective, yet harsh incubator to separate weak children from the strong.

The tailless leader climbed over bodies to get to the next room. They would move past an open air zone of the temple, only to see that the river that ran under was turned into pesticide. A large eyegret, larger than any other bird on the planet perched on one of the many platforms hooked by bridges. Her nest had dead chicks in it.

She was one of the mythical tailed holy animals. A deity-like creature worshipped as a messenger of the gods.
