Grain had been refusing to be calm for the past two days. He cried endlessly, as if he had something stolen from him. His owner could do nothing to stop the crying, and with each tear they felt a powerful need to......hug him. Hug him until he stopped crying.

One way or the other.

One day the door was left open, and baby Grain, in his grief galloped out and away.

The duo followed Grain outside and through the rains. At one point he perched on the edge of the citadel platform, and saw the horrors brought on by the never-ending storm. If he was brave enough, he would have opened his wings and flew off, but Grain was a cowardly unicorn.

Though it had been 30 years since he was adopted, he had not grown up a single bit. He whined and begged like a child, and his caretakers.....

Loved him...yes....ever so much loved....crying....begging......loud and messy.....baby Grain....

Baby Grain sniffles into Lucky's cloak, before looking back at Abyss Horse with such hate. Lucky wanted to protect Grain from this awful unicorn....

But Lucky holds it together....for now.
