[The Stranger - Slay the Princess]
Dorothy Volkairn
Dorothy might not have known how to read or write, but she was not a dumb woman. "Mister coachman..." Dorothy whispered as to not alarm the tourists she was tasked with guiding today. "This is not the woods of von Elzenstein's land like we had agreed to visit. Why are you taking us to the fey woods of house von Drakken?"
The coachman gave her a grunt, uninterested. He wasn't a vampwelf. He just drove his thornheads where he was told to go.

Dorothy gazed at her guests. They were unaware of the situation unfolding. None of them had a way to call for help even if they knew something was wrong. On the planet of Transylvaar, electricity was the rarest of sights, and not for trying. When aliens left the launching areas, all their devices, even those that had batteries would stop working. Most visitors took this as fun quirk of the planet. They would swap to mechanical cameras, and pen and paper. This had made it easy for visitors to go missing on the planet without a trace.

House Volkairn though, was known for its safety, but Dorothy felt silly. This was the first time she was to lead a tourist exposition alone. Usually she would be accompanied by a lowly knight of house Volkairn, or even one of the elder ladies, but when they told her she would have to lead alone, she didn't question any danger.
Visitor
"Woop! Ms. Dorothy! Ms. Dorothy! What is that over there?" The aftik wooped in excitement, not even spotting the worry in Dorothy's face. The others missed it too as they stuck their head out of the carriage and pointed at the creature on the side of the road.

The being waved its hands and shook its head side to side, as if to warn them to go no farther.

"Oooh! What a super duper rare sight we get to see!" Dorothy chimed as her mind slipped into autopilot. "That there is a fey! Hi fey!!!!!"
Dorothy Volkairn
"Don't worry, if you're an unmarried innocent woman like me, there ain't nothing wrong with greeting a fey! But if you're anything else, look out! They'll trick you and steal your soul! Hoo hoo hoo!"
Fey
The fey makes an cross with its hand. It whispers under its mask, but its voice is too weak to be heard under the hooves of the thornheads.

"What's it doing with its hands, tour guide?"

"It's....." The fey seemed to be looking right at Dorothy, sensing her as the most innocent one. She wanted to warn her guests as well that something was wrong, but she worried that if they ran into the woods, the fey would get them. Every vampwelf knew that aliens were never innocent, nor pure of heart. Stories were told over and over to tourists about how walking into any of the fey woods of Transylvaar was a death sentence.

While the others ducked and cover, a tourist stayed up, taping the fey with her device. "Oh oh! I hope it gives me, like, 10 curses! That'd be fun as the Neo's domain! Hey fey! Look over here!!!"

"""Duchess""" Lorelei wasn't a vampwelf, so Dorothy wasn't going to slander her species by respecting that name. Still, she had to uphold professionalism, and thus side steps her name.

"Ah, yes. I was wondering. Fancy pants alien devices don't work on Transylvaar. So how come your glowing book works? Everyone else has to write with pen and paper."
Visitors
The other visitors sigh and mumble "uh oh" under their breath. They had already asked this same question.

"Hahahahaahaha!!!!" Duchess Lorelei cackles.

"I know every plant! Did you know that the woods surrounding every vampwelf's family land is actually noticeably different?"
Duchess Lorelei
"This is cause every family has their own herbal remedies, meaning they remove and harvest certain types of plant life, causing the wildlife to shape around the restrictions brought upon by this harvesting! Even the feys of each forest are slightly different depending on the location. For example-"
The carriage jolts to a stop as the driver mumbles that they've arrived at their location.

"Oh hoo hoo hoo! We'll talk about this later. I'm excited for the events of today!!!!!"

Dorothy can barely pay attention to what's happening around her. The room spins. She struggles against the realization that her family has sold her as an offering, not just to any family, but the most vile, murderous family of them all. She keeps thinking this has to be a mistake of some kind. If she could just get home and clear this up, she would see this was in error.

Eliza isn't really sure what it is just happened, but it seems the amount of sacrificial lambs might get lowered to just her? At least the moat beast isn't hungry today. Last time she was threatened with being thrown down there, a part of her actually believed it would happen.

The Mad Knight freezes at the exit of the room, confused. He has never seen "Duchess Lorelei" before, and to call her by such a high title felt wrong, especially from Boris. "Do they have another Mad Knight.....?" He mutters under his breath.

He has no time to question it more, least Dirt attempt to give chase. "Dorothy Volkairn. I am the Mad Knight of this castle. Do you understand? I am a vampwelf, a Drakken like the others, and I will show you no kindness."

Within the woods of Transylvaar exists the fey.

A vampwelf would be unable to tell one if a fey is man, or beast. The creature exist in a state of both. One fey may do nothing but growl and hiss, while another may approach lost vampwelfs to offer guidance on escaping to a better life. There is something that everyone can agree upon though.

Never trust a fey.

Wherever feys go, disaster is sure to follow. Those who hold wisdom will lie as often as they tell truths, and those of an animalistic mind are as likely to come to one's defense as they are to chase and attack. All feys believe in protecting the "innocents," but what defines who is innocent and who is worthy of being tricked changes from fey to fey.

Worst of all, the deeper into the woods one goes, the stranger the shape the feys become. Riddles become more complex. Punishments become more elaborate. While the common fey with their masks are easy to identify, some fey reach such terrifying forms that they become no different than you or I.

Even your family and friends can become fey should they accept their forbidden wisdom.
No one is typing.
