In the early morning hours you and your group sneak off to a village. You were told to not go there, but you hear the sinner arise was found in this location, so obviously this is the prime place to be.

At the gates of the village is a hohun guard. He seems active and taking note of any passerby.

The hohun blocks the way. On closer inspection of her it seems she has no weapon, after all, the hohun species are pacifists by religion.

"mAAAAAAA."

A LEGENDARY MEG APPEARS.

The meg huffs and looks away from you! It's not in the mood for petting.

But the meg quite likes the pets from the other person.

"MERRRRAAAAAAAAAooooo."

You eat the fruit.

You're allergic to it and get a horrible rash instantly.

It was a bit too sour...

The hohun is punted harshly to the floor! She cowers!

You find a normal apple. Huh, this is it? It's nothing that special.

The hohun has stopped listening to you and is now praying in their native tongue to their god.

The fear of death is strong.

The ground shakes.

And the stone rises.

Mother has sent a more powerful guard.

The giant statue of a bird looms over the group.

Better start apologizing.

The mother accepts your apologies.

"MU UUAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!AAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!AAAAHHHH"

You all run into the village while "mother" picks up the hohun and cattle friend to go inform the Owlkin about your actions.

This village is....wrong. The early morning sky turns into a darkened one. The lush grass is gray and the sounds of animals disappear.

Before you are many buildings, but only a few stick out to you.

The first, a large farm.
The second, a tower laced with gold.
The third a much smaller farm outside of town.

You all work together to push open the huge doors of the farm. An orange liquid pours out of the side of it, though none of you dare to touch it. Inside, for a split second, you see the shadows of a few creatures before they all at once disappear.

In your mind the word "Dead" passes through, and you don't know why.

You hear a noise in the walls.

This place has rats, you're sure of it.

Going down the factory farm machines you find a glowing light, and your goal.

A LEGENDARY SEIZING BIRD HAS APPEARED.

It peacefully folds its wings, while the floating eyes around it look at the group, it does not.

The bird does not move as the group comes closer.

The skittering in the wall gets louder and closer. What is this, a mallon?

And then, it happened.

The poor arise. The poor prideful arise was cut in half, by some sort of monster. Some sort of... demon.

The mouse in the wall.

Subscribe goes in for an attack but stumbles on its own hooves! It looks up at the creature before it, scared it was about to be rend to bits.

The bird is vibing. Legit does not care about anything.

The thing goes for the mallon!

It pushes away the notail in front of the mallon, you will not get in the way of what it must do to be the best.

The mallon is killed.

You shoot into this creature, and while a sizable "wound" has appeared it doesn't seem distracted at all it must make sure this job is done.

You manage to get a rope around the bird, and as you tug it forward, it follows.

You kick this thing in the face. It pushes back, hissing and rubbing at its wounds but....it's like it doesn't care about you. It cares about the animals around it. And as Subscribe rushes towards it, it attacks back.

But Subscribe bodies the hit, and counters!

With a solid swing of its tail the "beast" goes down.

It's not dead. Not yet. You're not...fully sure if it could die. It's more resilient than the others here. Failure is not an option for it.

But right now, it struggles to get up, hissing statements that could never be understood.

You have time to run. Or you could try something else if you really want to stay.

You graze the monster. Causing it to become angered.

Before it was just after the animals. To complete the task given to it. But now, you're the target. It launches itself at you.

But falls short.

You kick the monster while it's down and end up grabbed! It pulls you in.

Quantum is stabbed in the leg!

EVERYONE ELSE JUST KIND OF WALKS AWAY WHILE QUANTUM IS BEING GRABBED.

You all reach the heavy doors.... one person, one demon could not open them.

But leaving and closing them means leaving quantum behind.

The group works together to close the door...

You're all rushing towards the exit, the grass heals, the sky brightens. You're out of danger.

Or so you think.
