The notail government called you and your friends.

You don't know why.

You don't know how.

And no matter how much you said "You have the wrong number" they refused to agree.

The clowns in the court chatter, while police and laws were unfun, the court battles were always a carnival of amusement.

Today, you and your team sit at the defense table.
A Kratos bangs the gravel to chill off the court.

Kratos
"We will now start the case of Z-19939 vs Circe's world. How do you plead?"
Z-19939
"Not guilty, obviously! ;D"
Kratos
"Prosecutor, begin your opening statement."
O-11
"Uh, sure!!! OwO"
O-11
"This vile not-notail broke out of jail at 2pm. In direct violation of his sentencing........OwO"

"And worse of all!-"
An image of the guard, dead on the floor is displayed to the court.

"He murdered a guard on his way out!!!!!!! OwO"

Standing tall at the table, confident, is a justitia unit with a short purple eyegret by her side. "The defense would like to bring to this court's attention a clear contradiction in the prosecutor's opening."

"They claim that there was a murdered guard" She slams the table and points. "But this is clearly a cardboard cutout!"

"Isn't the prison normally guarded by Kratos units? What was such a guard doing in the defendant's cell, not even outside of it, anyway? ~v~"

"Yes, that is the question. Which brings me to my second contradiction. The defendant did not break out of a prison, but an interview room!"
Starlis
"Plus the prosecution claimed the defendant is not a notail. Several of these facts are not lining up."

"Hmmmmp! Weak arguements. I'll prove you ALL wrong with my first witness......."

Money Grub slowly crawls over to speak with [THE EXACT TIME AND DATE OF YOUR DEATH DISPLAYED IN AN AD FOR CANDY CRUSH] about important Dan'gersign business. Particularly, CAPITALISM. Money Grub quietly points out how the judge could never be bribed or bought off....but the prosecution certainly can!

Trick is shuffling through court documents trying to read them. She has absentmindedly shuffled them and they are now out of order. This isn't helping.

"Anyways, the defense would like to propose the security footage for the day of the incident be added to the court record."

Starlis looks to Trick as she looks over the evidence. "Trick dear, did you find something? I noticed that the dead guard seems to be quite thin"

The video plays. There's no audio. A notail and robot come to see Zipper. One of them leaves visually embarrassed as she leaves a snake behind. Shadows behind Zipper indicate two people walked in the room behind him.

Zipper is scared and appears to speak. After a few minutes, the tape suddenly ends.

"As you can clearly see." The Kratos unit bows. "The guard wasn't dead before Z-ipper walked into that room, and only died sometime after the tape ceased its function."

"Wait a second...Is this guy even dead? I've got a hunch. I CALL THAT DEAD GUY TO THE WITNESS STAND! ;P"
Justitia
"This tape does reveal a piece of vital evidence, though. That being that there was a Third party that could fit through the slot!"
Justitia
"The defense would also like to call that snakevine to the witness stand!"
Kratos
"He cannot come to the stand, as he is dead."
Jeffery
"WHAT SORT OF COURT BRINGS DEAD PEOPLE TO THE STAND. WHAT DO YOU WANT US TO DO, SUMMON HIS GHOST?"

"Is that a thing you can do? That'd be really helpful. ;P"

Starlis thinks over the honking tape Trick found, and the extremely skinny guard.
The crowd chatters around.

Trick looks at the tape recorder. Is it fully analog or does it include a digital timestamp?
Can't....stop thinking about O-6's abs...no....why here?!?!?!
While everyone is talking about ghosts and dead people, Money Grub tries to work together with Candy Crush to bribe O-11 with video games and microtransaction money to throw the case.
Fortuna rolls a 20 sided die with a modifier of +5. A 1 is rolled.

O-11 grabs money grub

And throws it- into a box.

"Very well." The Justitia thinks. The only option left is to turn this trial on its head! "What if… the victim was never real?"

The Kratos cop continues to preen his feathers but under the stress of the questions, he rips one out. "!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"

He holds the feather like a knife in his mouth. "There......Is no audio!"
Kratos
"All video cameras in the prison have audio."
Christopher
Christopher swings his handmade knife! "Fine....let's play the audio. It won't change anything!"

"YEAH IT WON'T CHANGE ANYTHING!!!!"
Ace Attorney: All Pursuit Themes

The video plays, this time with sound. The snake is left behind, and the two witnesses walk in. They chatter, and then an explosion takes out the recording.

Throughout the audio recording, the clown honks, the final honk being just before the video cuts off.

"Trick, was that...honking?"
Trick
"That sounded like honking."
Justitia
"The defense would like to point something out. The so-called 'victim' made No noises other than the honking recorded on the tape! If this was a real clown, why wouldn't they be making other noises, or at least not honking rhythmically? The only explanation was that it was a Fake clown!"

"It sounds to me like that was the exact same honk, looping. That's pretty weird- Usually, clowns make all sorts of noises, like Honk, HONK, Hoooonk, and OH GOD MY LEG. Honk. ;P"

The entire court doesn't seemed surprised. It seems that this is normal.

"The defense would like to submit one final blow to prove this was not a real clown… an updated autopsy report! as you can see, according to this, the victim was Made entirely out of cardboard!"

TRICK HAS PRESENTED IT THERE WAS A TAKE THAT AND EVERYTHING
MONEY GRUB IS BEING TAKEN TO JAIL FOR ACTS OF AGGRESSION.
MONEY GRUB IS GONE.
DAMN IT, IT DIDN'T EVEN GET ANY MONEY.
