[The Wind is Blowing at Cavi Cape Mario & Luigi Bowser's Inside Story]
Stranger
The Stranger trailed behind Edger Drakken, the so called Skeleton King, and Catfight, a tailed he had only seen just a day before. He was worried about work. There was nothing to do at the office with the machine closed, and while his Pa had told him it was ok, the Stranger wanted to try and make money in the meantime. He was already quite small, and couldn't stop thinking about what Ray had told him the other day.
Stranger
Dangling in his tail was a rare stone camusken. He only carried it for comfort, as the creature was fairly useless otherwise.
Edger Drakken
"Hmmm. A tailed assisting me with my dragon hunts. How interesting. It is...very particular, you creatures."
Edger Drakken
"What god do you praise? I've heard that to you tailed, your holy title is much like we vampwelfs hold our royal titles. I'd like to call you by yours, if that is pleasing to you."
Cat Fight
"Well das' jus' mighty kind of ya, boss." Cat Fight had previously just been standing quietly, observing the surroundings just in case of any danger.
Cat Fight
"Imma Neo! Not the scruffiest but I like ta' keep the competition on low guard."
Cat Fight
"Easier ta' fight someone who expects ya' ta be easy prey."
Edger Drakken
"Well, I do think it's great for you to join me, Fighter of the Neo, Cat Fight. May our creatures not rip each other apart. Knight, gather the beasts."
Skeleton King
"Of course Castellan Edger." The uutiz approaches a stall and pulls on the lock. A confused, disheveled and hurt dragon leaps out.
Edger Drakken
"Do not panic, this is my nichtendrakk, Gretel the Blind and Deaf."
Edger Drakken
"Impressive as she might seem, her ownership to me was meant to be nothing but an insult."
Cat Fight
Despite the dragon looking rather pathethic, Cat Fight does not lower his guard. Underestimating a beast is the easiest way to end up hurt, or worse, after all.
Cat Fight
"Insult huh? She seems a bit rough 'round the edges but a beasts a beast, aint it?"
Edger Drakken
"Nichtendrakk are meant for the high class males of the family, but as dragons have been rather rare to come by, pickings have been slim. Many boys do not get a nichtendrakk, even those of royalty. So imagine my surprise when I was offered one."
Edger Drakken
"Only for her to be blind, deaf, and worth nothing to the family expect for breeding!"
Edger Drakken
"I do like her, but what she means is terrible. It does not help that a nichtendrakk is hard to care for, and to reject a nichtendrakk is to be banished from being a drakken."
Edger Drakken
"I believe I have heard an alien term for it. A white elephant."
Cat Fight
He seems a bit taken aback at first, confused why a good breeding animal would be considered an insult, but as Edger explains he nods as he slowly begins to understand.

"'S one mighty insult, boss. Cowardly ta' insult through a gift like that."
Cat Fight
"Tho' I havta ask, we takin' her with? Not questionin' yer judgement or nuthin' but I wanna know our game plan."
Skeleton King
The knight holds out his arm, allowing the small bat like creature that flew out with Gretel to land.
Skeleton King
"It is said that dragons are attracted to other dragons, so we must take her with us. Both Gretel and Bloodfang are nichtendrakks. Hopefully this will attract any dragons in the area."
Edger Drakken
"You know your bloodfang is no nichtendrakk! The others of the house have given you a horrid little pug of a beast. It is not dragon, nor drake, it is an insult to your delusions."
Skeleton King
"Bloodfang will one day grow to be a great dragon. He is stunted, but it will happen one day. I assure you, Castellan Edger."
Cat Fight
"(Sheesh.. Th' people in this family really like ta' insult eachother wit' gifts...)" He murmurs, mostly to himself.

"So th' big girl will help ta' lure out the rest of em... Think ah' get it."
Edger Drakken
Edger ignores his knight. "Yes, and if the dragon is hostile, you will assist in taking it down, safely of course. Now, I do have a question. I already can see the cekeki I have hired will be no help on this, but I do need you to...."
Edger Drakken
"...convince the tour guides to give us a rough location of where the dragon is."
Edger Drakken
"How you do this, what you do to them, does not matter to me."
Cat Fight
Cat Fight grins, cracking his knuckles in a show of excitement. "Oh dontcha worry boss, I'm real great at convincin' people!"
Cat Fight
"In one way or 'nother."
Edger Drakken
"Fabulous. Me and the knight will prep Gretel for transport." Edger Drakken hands the map to the cekeki, supposing he could at least help with leading the way for Cat Fight.
Stranger
Stranger silently waves Cat Fight forward to their destination, a small bar in the employee area of the island.
Raloud
There, Raloud and Lulove are chattering about their current gains. "The new ads are working great! This resort has been non stop profit, baby!"
Lulove
"We're getting so many new dragonkin to join us as well! New additions to the family is exciting!"
Cat Fight
"Mighty kind lil' lad!" He cheerfully says to the cekeki before staring at the two oddballs at the bar with a tilted head.
"So I jus' gotta get the info from them? Easy Peasy. Ah'll be right back lil' lad."

He cheerfully walks up to the two dragonkin, his friendliest expression possible on his face. "Hey! You two seem like knowleadgable folk. Care ta help a poor guy out?"

"S simple really!" He loops his arm around Lulove, ensuring most of his body is blocking off her exit and smiles. "Either of ye might know were a lil' ol guy like me can find where a lil ol' dragon is?"

"Ah!! Ah well, we don't know about any dragons! We uh, got transformed in the middle of the night!"

"Yeah, at a bar or something? Who knows!"
Raloud
Raloud growls at Cat Fight. "What do you need a dragon for anyway? You tailed aren't the type to seek out the type of dragon that lives here!"
Cat Fight
"Aw cmon now... ah know I look a little silly in ta' head but I ain't that simple." He gives Lulove a little squeeze. "Ye two dont need ta' know why ah' need it, just gimmie a simple rough location and ah'll be on my way!"
Lulove
"Our dragon is all about avoiding popular society, you know! Tailed always are involved with their gods and their people. Our dragon wouldn't like you at all!" Lulove tries to struggle free from Cat Fight.
Lulove rolls a 20 sided die with a modifier of -5. A 9 is rolled.

"And don't bother lass. I ain't here with no mission from mah' god or nuthin'." Seeing her begin to resist, he squeezes tighter. "All ah need is just for ye to point out the location."
Cat Fight
"Cmon, 'S just a simple request from a poor lost soul!"
Raloud
"Hey, furball! If you want a fight, how about picking someone your own damn size!"
Lulove
"This guy is huge Raloud! You're not his size at all!"
Cat Fight
"Ye attack me and ah' crush her neck. So stay put lil guy! Ion wanna hurt no 'body after all."
Raloud
"You ain't gonna crush her neck! I'll beat you over the head before you can do that!" Raloud grabs a bottle and makes a run at Cat Fight-
Stranger
-but, at some point, the Stranger had silently positioned himself on the floor between the two parties. Raloud trips over the Stranger!
Stranger rolls a 20 sided die with a modifier of +5. A 17 is rolled.
Raloud
Raloud takes a horrible tumble onto the floor. The bottle from her hand flies out, shattering on the floor.
Cat Fight
"Now dat' wuz just foolish." He chuckles a bit at the display, giving the strange cekeki a nod, assuming the little guy had done it on purpose.
Lulove
"OK OK!!! WE'LL TELL YOU! PLEASE DON'T BREAK MY NECK EVEN IF IT'S TECHNICALLY LEGAL!"
Cat Fight
"Aight lassy, I ain't lettin' ye go just yet but..." He moves the both of them closer to the map the Stranger had and picks it up with his spare hand, then picks up the stranger and puts both of them on the table.
Cat Fight
"Now ah' can't read, so show the little guy where. Kay?"
Lulove
"Of course, of course!!!! Here, I'll give you five directions to the dragon!!! There's only one dragon though, so they're going to be five directions to the same dragon!"
Cat Fight
"Five guaranteed routes! Now das' business!"
Stranger
The Stranger sets the map out, allowing Lulove to draw all the directions to the dragon. "It'll be a short swim to one of the unused islands, but I believe these directions are a-ok."
Stranger
"Will you...we? Be letting her go? The Stranger seems uncomfortable with the idea of keeping Lulove.
Cat Fight
He's a bit surprised to hear the little guy speak but confirmation that the routes are good is all he needs to feel accomplished. "Yeppah! We'ah done 'ere!"
Cat Fight
"Thanks fer da help ye two! Hope da' rest of yer days mighty fine!" He lets Lulove go then picks up the map and the Stranger and starts to head off to their boss.
Raloud
Raloud huffs as she picks herself up and checks on Lulove after Cat Fight and the stranger have left. "Bastards! Can't believe he handled you like that."
Raloud
"You made sure to give them the direction to the wrong "dragon" right?"
Lulove
"Five different ones!~"
Cat Fight Returns to Edger, path to the dragon in hand.
[Appetite For Destruction - Carrion]

Edger Drakken rents a boat to hold the group. The island wasn't far away, but the map dictated firmly to "stay away." As the group approched the island, they found it melting. Blackened sludge covered it, dripping into the ocean. As soon as the ship made landfall, the heard screams from the island. The blackened sludge formed into screeching birds, each of them intermingling with each other.

Edger Drakken
"Disgusting blessed land for sure, I suppose a suitable resting spot for a dragon."
Edger Drakken
"I will not sully my fur and my clothes with such blessed oil. The three of you can get on land. I'll watch the boat."

"Aight!" He doesn't think to argue, quickly getting out of the boat and onto land. He looks at the boat for a second before deciding to pick up the Stranger once more. "Yer sah' lil' 'm afraid ye'd get lost in all this goo..."
Stranger
"This is not goo." The Stranger speaks in a quite, stressed tone, as if speaking too loudly would upset the creatures. "These are spillicans."
Stranger
"No one has a flame on them, correct? If a single match hits this island, we are dead."
Cat Fight
"Eesh... Well, ah' don't but eh.. How 'bout you chief?" He turns to look at Skeleton King.
Skeleton King
"Not a single flame to my name. Do not worry."
Skeleton King
"I do believe that creature over there is doomed though." The knight points to an antidee.

The antidee struggles and screeches as it tries to pull itself out of the oil. Spillicans fight among each other for which one of them shall be able to kill the trapped meal.

Cat Fight
Cat Fights sight hesitates for a second, a pang of emotion hitting him thanks to the sight.
Cat Fight
He turns to look at Edger. "Since we 'avent started just yet. Permission 'ta spare the lil' thing, Boss? Ye' can take it outta mah pay if 's a bother. Ah'll work regardless."
Stranger
"Oh, I can't wait for orders. I can't just leave that thing to die!" The Stranger jumps out of Cat Fight's arms and into the oil. The second he feels the sludge coat his legs he gags.
Stranger
The Stranger hesitates, backing away.
Stranger
"Oh second thought. The oil is too thick. I'm sure by the time I get there, it'll be gone....It's not like it's my fault it got in that situation anyway....maybe it shouldn't have flown into oil...." The Stranger climbs back onto Cat Fight.
Edger Drakken
Edger shudders at the sound of the oil bubbling. "Whatever you do, I do not care. Just make sure to check around for the dragon."
Cat Fight
"Thank ye kindly." He secures the stranger, putting him inside his coat to make sure he won't fall, then moves to snatch the ant away from the oily beasts.
Edger Drakken
"Also quick reminder to my knight."
Edger Drakken
"GUNS CONTAIN EXPLOSIONS IN THEM."
Skeleton King
"....I see. Thank you Castellan Edger. I shall refrain from using my weapon."

Fortuna rolls a 20 sided die. A 10 is rolled.

Cat Fight sneaks up on the spillicans and tries to save the antidee. The hungry animals don't take any notice to Cat Fight, treating him like any other competitor for the meal. Cat Fight ends up struggling against them.

But soon one of the spillicans swoops in and grabs the antidee. It swims along the oil, jumping and diving like a fish until it reaches around the small island, in front of a glowing cave.

Cat Fight
"Shit! Damned-.." He takes a deep breath, huffing before turning to look towards the cave. "'S a pretty odd cave. Ah' know ah was focusin' on the darned thing but might ahswell start somewhere?"
Skeleton King
The knight nearly shoots the spillican before remembering the warning. He turns to look at the cave the trio had traveled in front of in their chase. "The light is growing brighter.....Dragon?"
Stranger
The Stranger peeks out from Cat Fight's coat to stare at the cave. He squints his eyes and pauses.
Stranger
With a short gasp, he leaps into the oil and tries to escape back to the ship. "NOT A DRAGON! NOT A DRAGON!"

An agnilith, a blessed creature that appears at sights of great disasters drags itself out of the cave using its fins.

If there was one thing most people knew about agniliths, it was their ability to explode when angered.

Cat Fight seems alarmed by the strong reaction, looking between the Stranger and Skeleton King with a mix of confusion and frustration before the massive beast appeared. Even a fool knows that that screams danger.

"Haha! Well, shit!" He turns to look at Skeleton King, body tense and ready to run in the other direction yet hesitating. "Ah don' know if dancin' with that beastie is worth it, chief, but ah can try my darn best to try and deal wh' it." Never been a great animal wrangler... goes unsaid, but a jobs a job.

"There's no dragon here! I recommend we leave before the creature before us finds issue with our existence." The knight watches the agnilith pause in front of the spillican trying to kill the antidee. It grabs the spillican, eating it. The antidee is spared. The large rumbling creature begins to skim the oil, drinking from it.
Cat Fight
Cat Fight looks between Skeleton King, the small ant, the agnilith and the path back to the ship. Despite being on a job, despite this being extremely dangerous, a small part of his pride is itching to do something.
Cat Fight
"Just- Lemme try sumthin' first. If ah die just mark me a fool but I ain't leavin' empty handed."
Skeleton King
"I'm already marking you as a fool."

He begins to take calm, gentle steps towards the towering beast. Looking at it drinking from the blackened liquid gives him an odd feeling, water being so close... "Hey girl, hey sweetheart. You don' like drinkin' that goop do ya?"

"Want me to get you some water? Sea water, right o'her there."
Agnilith
The wild agnilith raises its head to stare at Cat Fight. Its body starts to brighten.
Agnilith rolls a 20 sided die. An 11 is rolled.

The angilith continues to glow brightly. Offended by Cat Fight pointing it to the ocean. To it, Cat Fight is telling it to leave. The creature seems ready to explode-

-when Gretel, the Deaf and Blind swoops in. She misses grabbing the agnilith with her first foot, but snags it with her second. She drags the creature above the ocean before tossing it and quickly, and clumsily flying back towards the island. A blast of water bursts up from the ocean.

Edger Drakken jumps down from Gretel, pointing towards the duo, too angry to be bothered by the oil.
Cat Fight
Well, shit. Cat Fight can't really say anything in his defense, though he does not seemed too affected by his boss' anger.
He looks back at the cave and grabs the ant before turning to his boss. "Think ah' got duped, boss. No dragons ta' be found 'ere. Just that angry beast, tha' birds and ah' buncha oil."

"Nevah' seen onah those bigguns' before myself, 'as my ignorance 'ere.."
Edger Drakken
"Yes, yes, I can OBVIOUSLY see we've been given terrible information. How dire! Oh well! That's NOT why I'm angry though."

"'S it that that one ovah there sent a letter to ah girl on th' job?"
Edger Drakken
Edger completely passes past Cat Fight stops in front of his knight. "WHY DID YOUR DISGUSTING LITTLE CREATURE HAVE A WILL ADDRESSED TO LADY LUCETTA?"

"(Oh good, ah'm spared here!)"
Skeleton King
"I thought this fool was going to get me killed."
Skeleton King
"It is respectable that when one believes they are near death, to have their will delivered, Castellan Edger."
Cat Fight
"Ye didn' 'havta stick 'round, just sayin'~..."
Skeleton King
"There is no way I would have been able to escape before you blew us up. I just took the respectable choice to deliver my will and spare my drake."
Edger Drakken
"WHY IS YOUR WILL ADDRESSED TO MY WIFE!?!?!"
Skeleton King
"Would you accept my will?"
Edger Drakken
"I don't want any of your trash!"
Skeleton King
"Then that's why it's addressed to your wife."
Cat Fight
"Ain't it considered rude to do dat to someone elses wife?"
Skeleton King
"I will be dead."
Skeleton King
"When you die, the concept of rudeness leaves your body."

"But ye aint dead so I guess nah' point in sendin' that will eh?"

"Find someone else's wife to dedicate your dirty will to when you die!"

"Rather sensitive about words on a piece of paper from a dead man, aren't we Castellan Edger?"

"I shouldn't have spared your life, you blood sucking mite!"

"I hope you will make the right choice then next time, Castellan Edger."

"I am done here! There is no dragon! There is nothing of worth here! We are leaving. Now!" Edger gets back on his mount, not willing to trudge trough the slime any longer.
Cat Fight
"Man ye two have issues!" Cat Fight beginis to make his way as well, though he makes sure the ant he grabbed is secure in his arms before trudging. "Next time it might be better if ah kidnap one of those lil' dragonkin and torture em for answers."
Cat Fight
"Well- that is if ya hire me again! Ion think ah left the best impression today, which- fair. But ah work for cheap and ah dont mind doin' dirty work so...."
Skeleton King
The knight follows behind Cat Fight, he huffs out a laugh at his words. "May I make a suggestion? Torture is not enough."
Skeleton King
"When you have one of those mangy animals in your hands, you never let those rats go!"
Skeleton King
"Ha! An animal is only worth its value as long as its trapped."
Cat Fight
Cat Fight humms in response, looking up at the sky in thought. "True.. Those lil' guys were too conivin. Really makes me wanna give em a bad time."
Skeleton King
"As soon as you let them go, they have no reason to tell you the truth. So, you lock them up, in cage. A dungeon even."
Skeleton King
"And if there's two, it's even better."
Cat Fight
"Ooooh~ Aint ya a smart one? If I could write ah'd be takin' notes!"
Skeleton King
"Make em feel responsible for the other! If you don't fucking tell me where this damn dragon is, I'll kill the other one, and make you live with it!"
Skeleton King
"Never let a captive out until you GOT what you WANT."
Skeleton King
"And...even then....maybe you should never let them fucking out anyway."
Cat Fight
"Ye got a real messed up head there but... I'm keepin' this in mind! Next time ah get to work with a richun ah might use that tactic...."
Skeleton King
"When you're working for the rich and powerful, never hesitate to ask for....."
Skeleton King
"Equipment."
