Abyss Horse stood in front of an apartment on fire.

"You watched this blaze start, I'm sure, and did nothing....why?"
Stranger
The Stranger smiles, but says nothing.
Abyss Horse
"Confirmation that the gods will get what they want, and the people will not stop them."
Abyss Horse
"How dire this is." Abyss Horse disappears into the setting sun.
The Stranger does not move. Not even an inch.
Ray
"Huh..." Ray had spotted the smoke on his way back from the office. He assumed it to be a typical bonfire, but as he gets closer he panics. He breaks into a run.
Ray
Ray stops in front of his apartment, on fire. "MY FUCKING HOUSE!"
Ray
Ray approaches his front door, but the flames are too strong for him to risk it. He slinks back to the street, where Madam has heard his screams.
Madam
Madam approaches Ray in shock. She sets down Monsieur. "I'll go see if I can find help, watch Monsieur for me." Madam quickly states before she runs off.
Monsieur
Monsieur stares at the fire for a few seconds, before finding something more interesting to look at.
Monsieur
The Stranger.
Ray
"Can you fucking believe this, pal! Some asshole started a god damn fire! Who? Who the fuck would do this!?"
Ray
Ray follows Monsieur's eyes once he realizes he's not looking at him. "You...."
Ray
"Hey, asshole! Did you fucking do this? Wipe that damn shit eating grin off your face!" Ray shouts up at the perching Stranger.
Stranger
"Me? Why no. I would never."
Stranger
"I'm a good man, my friend. I noticed on my walk that someone had forgotten to close their door behind them. Like the good citizen I am, I decided to keep an eye out, to make sure the apartment was safe."
Ray
"Considering my fucking house is on fire, you did a piss poor job!"

"Yes. I at one point realized that this was your apartment, so when I saw the arsonist walk into your home..."

"If the arsonist had gone to any other house here, I would have ran for help. Even for those I do not know the house of. After all, I do not know if they are good, or bad, so I must assume the best out of each person."

"Goodbye, Ray. Goodbye, Monsieur. I wish you both a cozy night." The Stranger leaps down from his mailbox, and trots down the street.
Ray
"He thinks I won't kill him just because he spat some shit words?"

"Watch me rip that damn smile off his face!" Ray tries to lunge forward, but something holds down on his tail.
Monsieur
"Don't be a coward."
Monsieur
"Attacking him with his back turned."
Ray
"I've killed plenty of people with their damn backs turned!"
Monsieur
"I've always thought that was cowardly."
Ray
"What? This whole fucking time, you thought that? Why didn't you tell me?"
Monsieur
"You never asked."
Madam
Madam huffs as she comes back with two dragonkin following her. "I'm sorry..."

Madam slowly turns to look at the slowly dying fire.
Madam
She snorts. "Srrnnkhahahaha!!! Oh Mon! Even in such tragic events you are such the joker! The apartment is on fire! Why would I not get help? Fires are bad!" Madam laughs and gives Monsieur a kiss on his head as she leaves.

Monsieur looks Ray in the eyes. "Fires are bad."
