The Creator
"Ah, it is nice to see you've been dutiful at your work on the machines!" The Creator greets you happily when you come back with some supplies. While you have been slacking off a bit, you've been mostly gearing yourself towards making machines for the Creator.
The Creator
"Fantastic machines aren't they all? Each one designed by me!"
The Creator
"For your commitment, I offer you a rare gift. An anomalous item made by one of my oldest god machines. Please enjoy." The Creator hands you a small ball.
The Creator
"Its anomalous properties activate when you throw it on the ground!"

You drop the ball on the ground and it jumps back up, much like a normal rubber ball. You play with it for a few seconds, letting it bounce up and down.....

After a few more moments of bouncing the ball, you feel like you get it. You tell him that you know how this anomaly works.

"Most of it! Most of the universe, especially the parts which which are intelligent is anomalous."

"To you a see-saw might be "normal" but to much of the universe, such as to ants, a see-saw is an unfathomable object, indescribable, untamable, able to lift them into the air and down again with no rhythm or reason."

Explain what a god machine is.

"Hmmmm? And you were understanding so well until now....."

"A god machine is one of my creations. It's how I do my anomalous talents. While the rest of life was eating grass I was studying the way the universe worked. That is how I created the first god machines."

"Imagine, the dance of sodium, oxygen, hydrogen, carbon, and boron creating something that makes one happy. If you laid out all of those ingredients out, you'd have nothing but a mess. Hoo hoo!"

"Thus you need a god machine to combine those items in the correct way to create what you need. The first ball was created with days of ceremonies, all carefully done to place the ingredients in just the right way."

"As intelligence grows, we can refine the process of these ceremonies into smaller factories. Now you can simply buy borax and glue from the store and mix them together in a cup. Completely unaware of all the refined ceremonies that went into them. It's still anomalous."

"It's just that people do not care that it is anymore."

"But they see me throw a wedding, and make a huge tower powered by consumers and suddenly they're like "That is anomalous!" Hmmp! I'll have you know it took me longer to come up with the ball then a tower that tracks planets and rips them apart!"

"Think of all the ritals those people did. Who just gathers up sodium, oxygen, hydrogen, carbon, and boron in just a certain particular amount to create a ball? Sure it seems simple to you now with all its refinements, but the first ball was created via rituals."

"Take metal for example. The most wonderful group of all elements! It can be found in dirty looking, awful tasting brown water."

"But, if you dedicate yourself. Create a ritual where you throw the water over a fire, over and over for 100s and 100s of gallons of water, each which must be carried by hand, and each fire powered by wood, then you will finally get it...."

"Enough metal, for a single anomalous weapon of murder."

"The act that would have been preformed for a single knife would have been as dazzling as a tower and its wedding. Days, weeks, months even! Boiling water for no gain. Time you could have spent gathering more berries like an animal."

"But the rituals are all worth it, for in the end you shall have something that no other does. With time you can refine, and bring water with pipes to a pot automatically for example."

"Maybe it's genetics, or upbringing. Mother Good always said it is best to make the world as happy and peaceful as possible. At all costs."

Actually. Can you tell me the story of Good and Evil, from your perspective?

"Hmmm It's a long story, and not one I like to talk about. So I will summarize it, and talk about my experience before.......it happened."

"Good and Evil. Mother and Father. They were both haunted by a terrible god I heard. A crocodile of many mouths. A hundred, no, millions times worse than the Neo. One with not a single soul behind its eyes. It ate and killed without thought."

"Mother and Father killed this beast, and inherited an empty universe to build upon."

"Mother created wonderful things! A world of utter peace. There was no thought to be had. I frolicked happily. Even the grass was my friend, never to be eaten, for it lived too!"

"He brought with him, horrible things! Terror, and choice, and hunger, oh the hunger was the worst!"

"And then they argued, and never stopped arguing after that. I kept thinking to myself, maybe if I had just not said anything, Father and Mother wouldn't have become so horrible with each other."

"Don't bother telling me this or that action of mine is hypocritical. I've heard it 100 times before. If the universe was Good, there would be no hypocrisy. But it is not. Not yet."

"Or maybe, it will be like the Evil world Father created. The one we are in now. Where it's all terrible, but we are too traumatized to want it any other way."

"All I know, is that I will be happy. Now do forgive me. I must leave to do other matters. Please continue your work. Though you may not understand it, these god machines you help build bring us closer to a paradise. A Heaven."
