Bean squeezes his eyes shut. He opens them again, scrolls a bit.

There's nothing there.

He watches the minutes pass at the corner of the tiny screen. Maybe if he stayed there long enough, something would give.

But nothing ever did. The staring contest would end eventually, Bean backed down and placed the phone onto his nightstand. Hand lingered onto it for far too long, just to be certain he'd change his mind if it vibrated underneath his palm.

Instead, the phone was returned to his pocket when he was dressed and ready for the day. The house was still in mid transition from complete disaster to being neatly packed up and ready to go. It never gets any less surreal with each passing day, between his and his roommate's belongings being taken from their places or not seeing his suit hanging to greet him as he left the house.

He's not hungry. Electing to pass up on breakfast, he takes a seat at his normal spot on the couch, combating his own thoughts.

Not an early riser by nature, Siete had been relaxing on his phone, just finishing up packing some odds & ends from the living room. He shifts a bit to make space for his roommate on the couch.

“…I’d eat now. I was planning to get the rest of the kitchenware packed up later.”

"I guess, it does feel kind of awesome that it's all over, yeah."

"But I kinda feel like... that's, all I knew. One trick pony. I still got the whole, crawlin' outta the hole I made ahead of me."

“There’s more to life than your job, man. Might take a sec to reorient, but you’ve finally got yourself back. Isn’t that worth something?”

“…You are being evicted, though. Which means I’m being evicted. That does suck.”
Can't even be bothered to find his own place. What is he. A child?
He drags Wormwood down just as much as his brother did.

"Yeah uh, that does suck. Like a lot." Bean runs his hand through his hair. "Dunno. Maybe I can land a nice quiet office job or some shit somewhere."

"I'm still scared there's nothin' out there for me. That I fucked around for too long and missed it all. ...I know that's not exactly, rational though." He exhales.

"...But we do gotta decide where to actually go from here. Does uh, Barnable sound good to you?"
There's no way to pry these two off each other.

Barnable is literally one of the better islands but it's not exciting enough for this loser.

"Rules are simple to follow.

  1. No touching any door except for the one outside of the house, and the one to the guest bathroom. Don't you even peak into the others.

  2. Make sure to keep it quiet at night because she usually records audio around that time.

  3. You're going to but your own food because if she finds the incorrect thing out of order you're going to stress her out.

  4. No inviting other people at all.

  5. No watching the news on the living room tv, she'll be able to hear it.

  6. Do not talk to her unless she talks to you first, she's not social, and I got a feeling she wouldn't want to talk to you both anyway.

  7. She doesn't know your life, and she likely doesn't want to know your life. If you need to get in a shouting match with each other or someone over the phone, go outside.

  8. Suck it up and be nice to her. Raise your voice at her once and you better be out before I get back."

Seems high maintenance. Some of these raise his blood pressure just a touch, his poker face is terrible. He swallows it back down.

He narrows his eyes at Worm, glancing back over towards Cowboy, “The like, out of order thing is a little fucked, though. Like, there’s not a lot of room for accidents here.”

Cowboy flexes his claws a takes a step forward. He feels a unbearable heat radiate from his back. He imagines just ripping into Siete. Verbally. Maybe even physically.
But suddenly that heat, radiates out a numbness. No.....not an emotional numbness.
A psychical one.
Cowboy
Cowboy reaches back, and pulls out a syringe dart that hit him in the back. He can't do anything but mumble "That ain't right." Before he collapses onto the floor, eyes still open, but paralyzed.
The Sun
The Sun's tendrils slink in, grabs Cowboy's banded leg, and adds a new, bright red band.
The Sun
Its eyes flicker towards the other two adults in the room, but it looks away again, as if not trying to draw attention to its massive invasion of the room.

"The fuck-?" Bean scoots back as far as he can as Cowboy is collected up. He barely has time to process whats happening.

“Oh shitting fuck.” Siete scrambles off of the sofa, nearly tripping over the coffee table in attempts to distance himself from the tendrils.

The Sun thinks for a moment, processing if the emotional impact of this moment was dire enough that it should supply a small bit of food so that they know that their house is still completely safe, and that this moment was an oddity.

It then drags Cowboy out of the house. Before adding another, black and white band to Cowboy's leg.

The world gets darker and darker for Cowboy, but he can feel the click of another band on him.
Two bands in one day? That was bad.
The Sun
The Sun takes out two dome pieces, both padded in the inside. It scoops up Cowboy and closes it. A perfect capsule to move the animal without damage. As suddenly as it had arrived, the Sun's tendrils pulled upwards and disappeared.

"..." Frozen in place, Bean's eyes dart between the sun taking away Cowboy, and the marshmallow on the table. And back to Siete.

"....Oh, fuck. Man. Oh we fucked up." Worm holds his head, getting up to examine the marshmallow. It's as big as his head. If not bigger. "Holy shit."

...He pulls off a piece of it to chew on regardless. "Fuck me. We're so fucked now. Cowboy is fucked."

“Fuck! Yeah, you could fucking say that.” Siete composes himself as the capsule is dragged out of sight.

“And you don’t know the start of it. You see that black and white band? He’s off to The Pens, dude.”

"That's pretty bad."

“Yeah. I dunno.” He breathes out. Cowboy lashed out at him, at Wormwood, but… “This doesn’t feel right, man. I hope it’s a misfire and he’s out of there in a few days…”

There's a slow rhythmic knock on the door.

... He turns to look at the door, looking back over to Siete for reassurance.

“Dude, at least leave some of that for us…” He shoots a look to the door.

"It's like huge, y'think I'm that much of a fatass?" ...He shuffles back to the couch.

A human with swirling eyes looked back at him. She placed a hand on the door to make sure he couldn't shut it on her. "Ooooh. I have terrible news for you."
"Uno?" Seven muttered to his eldest sister.
