A creature created by science to allow people to live out the life of an adventurer, the voyage beast proudly travels along roads, mountain passes, deep forests and other places where adventurers are likely to travel. When it spots a group it challenges by stomping and lowering its head. If the group accepts it will enter into a sparring mode. While large and powerful the voyage beast takes care to not actually harm adventurers, often slowing down powerful swings at the last moment to just tip them over.

These legendary creatures simply enjoy the excitement of a good fight, and will often allow themselves to be defeated dramatically by opponents that play along with them. In cities the voyage beast is often smaller, only seven feet tall, and is hunted down with paintball and laser guns, which the creature pretends is as impactful as the real thing.

As voyage beasts are created in labs no two look alike. Their design is often based upon local culture and legends of the past. To kill a voyage beast is a great disgrace, akin to destroying an ancient monument, especially as the average lifespan for one of these creatures is upwards to 2000 years if well cared for.
