The draufganser is apart of the false dragon family. Flocks of draufgansers appear wherever powerful dragons can be found. These feathered warriors nullify the fear of others, and as dragons are powered by fear, weaken the local dragon. Over time the draufgansers will convince the locals passively to take on and slay the dragon physically with their newfound bravery, allowing this clever bird to get what it really wants, the anomalous energy that leaks out of dragons.

The karuhongsa, another type of false dragon, is closely related to the draufganser. When the two species meet they bow towards each other as if greeting an old friend.
