Gogopets are an anomalous creature that puts itself together from the toys and gifts a parent has given to their child. They only appear in situations where said parent has limited interactions with said child, often due to being busy or overworked. While young children are excited over their beloved companion, as one gets older, a slow hate boils up. Owners begin to accuse their gogopets of causing their parent's apparent lack of affection. These accusations quickly causes the creature to fall back into its original components.

Only after coming to terms with the true form of the gogopet and the emotions of one's caretaker does the gogopet piece itself together again. Unfortunately, many gogopets end up littering landfills, never to be loved again.
