Damsels are the beloved mates of the lancelot. Once believed to be in a mutualistic relationship with the other, it is now understood they are in fact the same species. Damsels are beloved in large ponds due to their playful water spitting behavior. While guests find this cute, damsels use this same play to shoot down hovering birds, sending the unfortunate creature into the mouths of a horde of damsels. Damsels are no simple accessory for lancelots. They scout and lure in larger game for their knights, showing that the species has a rather complex hunting system.
