It's been a time.

A long time. A very, very long time. Days passed, nights gleamed through and through. But Adelynn was happy.

At no point in Adelynn's life did she realize she needed anything more than her close friends, a roof over her head, and game night every Saturday.

Maybe for a lot of people, this was not "happiness" but for Adelynn it was.

Even as the city grew around her, she still look forwards to game nights. Even when she got assigned to her most annoying of jobs she spoke to her friends about the characters she had made for the next adventure. Maybe ZooCorp had eaten away at all the physical adventures one could have, but, for most people, ZooCorp was already there for them, far before the Zookeeper appeared. And if Adelynn could find joy in her game nights, maybe other people could.

After an amazing end to a campaign, Adelynn was walking across a street, dreaming of her next character, when she was struck and killed instantly by a car.

She never saw it coming, not once, and died as happy as could be.
