Destruction would not rise from the pit to claim those who walked in deviance, for He had not commanded it so. The angel waited in the desolate abyss, no damned nor fellow ministering spirit to accompany. The work of Destruction was never done, the task never meant to be complete, for the world would not change without it. The world would grow stagnant and rotten, and He would not stop it.
