[banalities of our existence]

It wasn't terribly difficult to locate Bobo, for anyone that knew him, anyways.

Even though the pair had not one conversation longer than a few words in the last ten years of their lives, XoXo was at the very least, idly aware of Bobo's habits. Where the hybrid would prefer to simply sink into a crack in the floor to hide away in times of anguish, Bobo was found staring off wistfully into the deep orange over the horizon. The skyscrapers were so high now, clouds nearly met the tips of the buildings from where Bobo dangled his legs off the edge.

XoXo wasn't afraid of heights, no reason for them to be. However, their flattened heart still raced while they scaled the shadow of the building that they had spotted the flash of red and blue atop of. It was a difficult feeling for XoXo to shake, even now. Their entrance unto the scene was near silent, in reverence of Bobo's apparent melancholy. Something was up, clearly, nothing that XoXo would be aware of. Maybe this was a bad time to visit.

Xo's image lay there in awkward pause, finding an upright surface to sit down within their sibling's presence. They had spent this entire time getting here thinking of what to say, rehearsing every word, but it all came to a blank.

Thus, the two watched the sunset, whether the AI was aware of his sibling's presence or not. XoXo thought it nice for the moment, rarely is he ever up this high to view it in its full display.
Bobo Hotwheels
When Bobo needed to talk to himself, he always preferred the rooftops. Anywhere else would get him questioned. Up top the lonely rooftops no one could bother him. Interrupt his conversations.

"Why do I keep destroying everything around me. It's not fair. I'm a monster. I can't do anything right. How am I supposed to save the universe when I can't even protect my own family!?"

There's a short pause, as if Bobo was carefully listening to the wind for its answer.

"Can't the universe find someone else who can do it? Does it have to be me?"
Bobo Hotwheels
Yet again there is a moment of silence, before Bobo gives a look of surprise to the empty sky in front of him, turning around.

"XoXo? You- uh, didn't hear anything bad, right? Sh-shit I didn't know you were there!"

"Sorry, Ｓｏｒｒｙｙｙｙｙ. Didn't want to , Interrupt. (ᴴᵃʳᵈ ᵗᵒ ˢᵖᵉᵃᵏ ᵘᵖ.) "

XoXo crosses his legs, sitting there, finding it difficult to make eye contact.

"Wanted wanted wanted wanted- Wanted to talk. Bad time?"
Bobo Hotwheels
"You can always interrupt. Better you do."

Bobo uses his sword in a canelike fashion, helping himself up to his feet. He looks back to the endless city before them.

"I don't talk to myself on rooftops for no reason."
Bobo Hotwheels
"It's......safer up here. You never know when you might say something horrible that'll really mess someone up just cause you're pissed off."

Bobo turns to XoXo after giving a short wave to the city as if to tell it the conversation was over.

"Especially when you're a fuck up like me."

Bobo takes a few steps towards XoXo, though leaves a good distance between himself and the anomaly, as if scared for their safety.

He suddenly brightens up with a forced laugh.

"Ha Ha! It'll never be a good time to talk to Bobo Hotwheels, savior of the universe! He's always too busy running from trouble to trouble! This is just about the only time you'll get to catch him!"

XoXo stares ahead blankly while Bobo spoke. Could have mistook them for particularly artsy graffiti with them motionless. Sure, he could always interrupt, but...

"Do you. Want to.. talk. About it?" XoXo spoke slowly, as to keep their 'speech impediment' from flaring up.

"Mhh... Looked for you with so much to ᔕay, getting the feeling that you're. You you you're having. A day. (Another one of those Days). Sit with me?"

"If we are [STILL], nothing. Bad will happen."

"...We haven't talked in... Fffffff-∞ ∞ Very Long time. Often we are busy, busy bodies. Take this moment to.. Catch up."

"Having a day? No way! I'm having so much more than just a day!"

"I killed my dad today, you know, the normal! Most people only get one chance at doing that!"

"I guess, technically I could do it twice, but let's not go there."

Bobo twirls his sword, his mood fluctuating erratically.

"Trust me, you don't want to get any closer to me. Anybody who gets close to me....."

"Gets the blade! Evil, or Good! Bobo will destroy both the evils of the universe and the universe itself in his attempts to save it!"

Xo's eyes trail to the floor.

"Don't know what to saaaaayyyyyy.... Stronger than stronger (The Strongest there is). Seen it when we were we were kids."

XoXo takes a long pause to think, seeing their own reflection in the blade the AI held.

"Do as you wish. No fear. Did you know? Did you, did you know?"

Bobo winces at his own words.

...XoXo snorts, chortles at the statement.

"ₗᵢₜₜₗₑ Brother. Is not in Familiarity in the face, not in our Parts. You know that you're.. Adopted, you've discovered that. It's not, it's not blood that makes us Siblings."

"Dude. I'm fucking stupid. Just spell it out for me."

"Oh, so now I was also raised by the BLUE DEVIL! Is there ANYTHING else you want to tell me!?!"

There's a moment of tense silence before Bobo looks back XoXo.

"Hey. Don't ask how I know this. But did I kill the BLUE DEVIL as a kid?"

"I don't know if you know this, but constant never-ending amnesia is kind of one of my defining character traits."

Bobo pulls his hand back to toss his sword safely to XoXo, until he hears his teacher voice, reminding him to always be sure no innocent person could get harmed by his actions. He strolls over and drops the sword at XoXo's feet instead before backing up, an offering of disarming.

"You mentioned a sister. 'Our' sister. Let me guess...." But Bobo never finishes his sentence, instead hanging it in the air.

XoXo stares down at the sword for a few moments, waiting for Bobo to finish, but he never does. The anomaly clears their throat.

"■ ■ BLUE DEVIL, chaos version 1, Papa Blue, wwith with with the help of the Avvvverruncus AI. Created us three, a family. I was there, prior to your (birth), when we named DEBORAH, THE BROKEN JET. Your big sister, my little sister."

"I was there when we named yy-yoou. Bobo Hotwheels. Exciting times. We had an Aunt as well, Shhh Shadow Wolf K-9. All of us, adopted in by BLUE. She took to you thethhe most, from what I remember."

XoXo gets up from his place on the wall, and peels away from it to close just a bit of that distance between them.

"You're not obbbligated to agree. You.. know where to reach me, yes?"

Bobo kneels down and holds out his hand to the ground, to touch the untouchable, XoXo. He doesn't say anything.

Xo's heart rate picked up once more. Staring back at the offering, although not too long as to discourage their younger brother. Green crawls across the metal surface, although XoXo can not feel it or apply any pressure, the idea of a tightly secure bond was there. Enough for them, at least.

"Come.. Come come see me for Poetry night sometime. Not.. everyone's cup of tea. Maybe you'll enjoy it? Hah. We can talk afterrrr (back)stage."

Bobo allows XoXo to wrap around him, but for him it still felt hollow.

"Maybe this is selfish, but I don't think I'm ever gonna be normal, bro."

Bobo pushes himself up and away before grabbing his sword off the ground.

"I know you're ok if something happens to you, but I'm not. I'm not saying I won't be around for you, but don't expect to see me in the front row of your Poetry night cheering you on even if I wanted to."

"Maybe I'll listen from outside a window, or lean in the back of the room all the way in the darkness. The kind of edgy bullshit a lone wolf would do, you know?"

XoXo lingers for a moment as Bobo pulls away, letting go of that held breath.

"Fair. Understandable."

A bit of XoXo's easy to excite self bubbles back to the surface, racing back to stick himself onto Bobo. Particularly, curling around his arm.
