At 3am, every vampwelf needed their privacy. They would fly into their castles, and kick out even their most loyal maids. It was in this single hour, that vampwelfs got their most important work done. Anyone who strolled into the castles at this time were as good as dead. Even the most timid of royals were said to become bloodthirsty when their work at this hour was interrupted.

Cea Jasper questioned the other butlers. Everyone was crammed in a filthy holding building, waiting for the hour to be done. No one knew where those who were missing had gone, until that is, the door was slammed open, and a farmer screamed as he threw himself inside.

There's a noise. Comet can't tell if it was from False Knight, or from behind him. He panics and screams. "THEY-THEY'RE HERE! OH GOOD GODS, THEY ARE HERE!"

The False Knight was consumed by terror, realizing that his dear friend was right. He was tricked by the feys. Bravery could not save him.

Comet shrinks seeing the teeth on Cea. "Sorry sir. This is just mighty upsetting...." He nervously laughs at the understatement of the year.

The Mad Knight gives only a grunt of agreement. He refuses to look in Cea's direction, as if the butler could kill with a gaze.

Cea pats Comet, removing the dust he had gained from the day of toiling in the fields and running for his life. "Why don't you get some rest my dear? I'm sure the others won't mind you taking a day off after they hear what you've been through today."

"As for the rest of us, in a few hours the tour guide from House Volkairn will be here. We must prepare to give her and her guests an exciting and warm welcome!"

"They're sending a single unmarried vampwelf woman and tributes out here, and you're excited?"
