Lulove
Lulove went around the maid quarters, a document rolled up in her hand. "Have you guys seen Comet?" She asks. Over and over she gets the same answer.
"No one's seen him for at least two days now."
Lulove
Lulove, frustrated yells. "How could any of you lose Comet!?!"
Cea Jasper
"Calm yourself! I'm sure he's out drinking at the farm edges."
Lulove
"I can't be calm! The Elzensteins will be leaving in a day, and I need to find Comet so I can get him out of here!"
Cea Jasper
"You're getting Comet out of here?"
Lulove
"I went with the Elzensteins to catch a fey, and they told me that if I survived, I could go free, and bring someone with me. I didn't think I would survive, but I did. I thought about how Comet has always been around to cheer me up, so I wanted to offer it to him."
Cea Jasper
"The freedom would be wasted on him. He doesn't want to leave."
Lulove
"The way he spoke, he reminded me of how I wanted to die, but....when death finally came for me, I realized I want to live! I think if Comet saw that he could leave, no strings attached, and with payment from the Elzensteins, he'd take it!"
Cea Jasper
"If you say so....." Cea does not speak his true thoughts on the matter. Lulove had never recovered or been able to cope with living here. Comet was the only person she'd bother talking to.

With King in tow, both he and they heard of Lulove's existence here - and after everything, they were curious on how their dragonkin friend was doing.
Though, with the nature of this entire fucking planet, Rum wasn't about to let themselves get caught. Slinking around, they went to find them, spotting them talking to another maid.

"Shit - Hey, King, she's over there."

Timepiece had mostly been working nearby, tending to shift locations if she's been told to do some labor. As she didn't know where comet has been, she didn't interrupt their conversation.

"Yeah. Let's try to get her the hell outta here of this stuffy mansion, at least."

They'd take a breath, and finally step forward, hands going out to the side in a wave.

"Lulove! It's been a while!"
Lulove
Lulove spots Rum and the Rat_King. She runs towards them, but not for own safety. Her mind stuck on one track. "Both of you! Have you seen Comet? Red and black, short and fat?"
Lulove
"He's been missing for two days apparently and no one else seems to care!"
Rat_King
"I'm afraid the name is not familar." Rat_King pays no mind to the fact they spotted them so easily. His size and garb likely did not help.
RUM
"Comet? Iiiii don't think I've seen him? Or heard of 'em, really? I've been keeping out of these house's nonsense. Not interested in being captured."

"I'm sure we could help you locate him, however. If it is not too much trouble."
Lulove
"How could a whole person go missing without a trace?"
Cea Jasper
"It's common around these parts, dear."
RUM
"....I was gonna say, weird shit happens here all the time. No electricity, no ways to track anyone, really."

"If you must know, the last time I saw him, he went with two men to visit Lumii." Cea states, stressed. "You know, the man that Comet says he'll hang one day?"

"Lumii's a VAMPWELF!" She barks back.

"He is the nicest vampwelf around. He doesn't harm even a fly and what Comet does to him....."

"Comet went to go see a vampwelf and didn't come back! What do you think happened to him, idiot?"

"Do not call me an idiot dear! Lumii would never harm a single hair on Comet because of all the lies that man feeds him! He might be a vampwelf but what Comet does is CRUEL."

Lulove leaves with the others. "Thanks for helping me out. I don't know what I'm going to do once I leave. Without my dragon, I'm going to go crazy....I already feel crazy." Lulove grabs her head. "I've never been so aggressive before, but, I don't think I'll ever be able to free my poor dragon. I could at least free a guy who has been nice to me."

"I might not even use this paper on myself. I might give my seat to someone else. Free my dragon or die trying."

The daemon... Smiles, once out of eyeshot of the others except for the current party.
"Of course, Lu. I missed you, I ain't gonna lie. And for the record, if you wanna travel with us, need some friends, let me know. I don't know about your dragon, I'm no dragon-speaker, but, I wish you luck."

Lulove holds the paper to her freedom close to her. "I suppose that's right. I'll think about it. I just....I heard stories about what happens to dragonkin without their dragons. The Cosmosdex said they go rabid, slowly start to die in the mind because they hear the endless call of their dragon. I didn't believe it before, Raloud said I shouldn't listen to that thing. That "Anyone of those Cosmosdex editors can write whatever they want into it and make it true in people's minds" but everything I've read about the vampwelfs has been true so far. Everything! So I'm worried that there is no hope for me."

They hesitate for a moment, sighing. "Oh, trust me, I don't believe everything either. Give or take a grain of salt with those things. You're strong. Real strong. You can carve your own path, got your own mind."

"Trust me I've..... thought a lot about something similar, myself, with... what they write about my species."

"I've said too much, but I don't really fit in line with it. For a... reason, yeah, but..." They cough, turning their head away for a moment.

"Well you could ask a cosmosdex editor directly. I think one has been around the castle. You might get a better answer in person than just wondering from a distance reading their entries. At the very least it's more than the nothing you have to work on now. I know their entries are only based on what they know gets views from what is written about the swarm, those who left the swarm are just footnotes in the entry."

They give a nervous chuckle as the hand was placed on their shoulder, and lean over towards Lu. "-but, If you can keep a secret, I'll tell you later what my secret is, after we see what the old man's doing. I promise."

Lulove has never read the entry on Rum's species, the daemons, so she can make no judgement. Though if she had, her judgement would be just as foul as her's on vampwelfs. "I trust them. Raloud didn't, she was kind....She might have seemed rude, but she kinder than me, never judging people. Never expecting them to do evil. It was always me who was worried about people being terrible."

"I do agree though, let's talk more after we find Comet. Who knows what the vampwelfs have done to him!"
Asking around, the group are eventually able to bribe someone to tell them where Lumii lives.

Lulove knocks on the door. "Open up!"

Lumii wasn't expecting guests today. From behind the door he calls out. "What is your name?"
Lulove
"I'm Lulove! Comet's friend! I know you were the last person to see him!"

"SHH, HEY-"

"Shit."
Lumii
"Ooooh. Lulove?" There's a moment of silence. "That's a nice name. You must be a good friend of Comet's. Let me open up."
Lumii
Lumii opens the trapdoor. Light from his electronics trickle out. "Oh, I see, it is all of you from the woods!"
RUM
Immediately on edge, they keep their dog Amatus nearby, cursing under their breath.
Timepiece
Timepiece waves a claw, as lax as ever.
Lumii
"I was worried you all would have never come....but I suppose with Comet missing, how you are meant to find me?"
Lumii
"Come in! Are you here to see my experiments?"
RUM
"Oh, hey, uh! Old man, heard you were- yeah, actually. Heard you found the solution to the anomaly here?"
RUM
"...or something similar, as rumor has it?"

"...here to ask about Comet too. You're aware of their disappearance as well?"

The two animals attempt to grab at Lulove, but she spins around. She won't have anyone stop her. She doesn't know why she has been put into such a rage. For some reason, down in Lumii's basement the screams of her dragon were deafening.

Where was all this power coming from? She thought to herself, as she killed the two animals in front of her. Something was wrong. She felt barely in control of herself.
The Cosmosdex entry states, that the longer a dragonkin is away from their dragon, the more feral they become. They lose the ability to reason. To understand.
They act only on fear and hate alone. Like a true dragon.

Lumii shouts to the others. "If I kill her, would that make me a bad person? Please, quick, give me the approval or not!"
RUM
"BOTH OF YOU ARE AT FAULT, STOP THIS NONSENSE!"
Timepiece
Sitting back and watching all of this, Timepiece feels an old urge at Lulove's rage, a rush deep in the recesses of her memory. Her instincts kick in, watching the two beasts slain before her, and within an instant her limbs tense, and she rushes twords Lulove, wordlessly striking at the enraged dragonkin.

"Apparently not, guess I'm trying this too-" Rum tries to assist timepiece, flapping her wings forward and and rushing Lulove down.

Lumii watches the group try to defend him. He's in shock, both physically and mentally. "No.....No...ok...it's ok if she kills me. I'll be ok...Yes....It's ok if it's just stabbing......." But this doesn't stop the attack.

LULOVE ATTEMPTS TO CLASH!

Lulove is thrown over and beaten by the group. She wants to ask for help, but she can't figure out how to say it. She snarls more than she talks. It is with a final hit from Rum, that she finds herself unable to move anymore. Awake. Able to see. Yes. But not able to move.
Lumii
Lumii uses his coat to cover his wounds. "I....Look. I am sorry......I didn't want to kill Comet. I swear. I loved the man. Please understand."
Lulove
"Rrrrrno!"
Timepiece
Blood drips from her claw as Timepiece slowly settles down before Lulove, taking a light breath to calm her head.
Lumii
"Ugh.....what if I just....." Lumii brings his hand to Lulove, and touches the top of her head.
RUM
"What're you doing?"
I have to add music but I can't find a son song so ignore this for now.
Lulove's expression goes blank.

"Oh...well....The last time a man was very angry at me.....in my childhood. I sort of calmed them down by just. I guess petting them?"

The dragonkin shakes her head. "Outsiders can't help with dragons. It would hurt you. My dragon sounds so upset." Her hands are shaky as she brings her hands to her ears. When that doesn't block out the noise, the screams she looks to the others. "If I beg, will the Drakkens let me be with my dragon do you think? I feel as if something horrible has happened to my mind....because...the loss of my dragon I believe?"

Rum can only raise an eyebrow at the healing, but doesn't question it. Enough blood and anger has been spilt already.

They look to the dragonkin as she helps her out of Lumiilove's home. "Let's get you healed up and outta here, kiddo. We'll find someone to help you with your dragon. Promise."
The group takes the dragonkin with them out of the lab, leaving LumiiLove alone.

"Hmmmm....I actually don't know if those people are the type to tell the Drakkens about me......but I really cannot go through another murder. Plus, my fridge barely fits Comet."
LummiiLove spots a paper on the floor, dropped in the fight with the dragonkin.
Maybe there was a way out of here with no bloodshed needed.
He was the person the paper was addressing after all.
