A ragtag group of unusually working AIs and aliens had headed out into the fey woods. One of the AIs was sold an "amazing and totally complete" map of the forest by a young witch, and wished to use it to capture a rare beast to sell. The witch said the map only worked if they opened it within the woods, and when they finally got there and opened it, they found that they all seemed to have been duped.

It was a map scrawled in crayons with the following locations listed.




  1. That weird place with all the broken buildings around it. (BORING!!! HE LOCKED THE DOOR!!!)

  2. Forest of red lights.

  3. Big big big big big rock!!!!

  4. I don't know this one just has dead body parts all over.
    5. BODIES ARE GONE. SHOULDN'T HAVE TURNED MY BACK ON THEM!!!
  5. Seeeeecret Federation base but they suck at hiding it. Idiots.

He follows the others, hands in his pockets and ignoring his cloak catching on various branches and brambles.
The group wanders randomly into the woods, leaving the map behind.
Fortuna rolls a 20 sided die. A 16 is rolled.

Surprisingly, they end up at the very location they originally picked to go. Before them, was a large rock, and resting upon it were two creatures, a heer and a mallon. The two creatures looked down at them with a scoff. They seemed to laugh to each other, as if believing they were in no danger.

The stone..............was large. Was there anything else about the stone of note? Were these animals mocking the group for no reason? Surely they could just climb the stone and claim the lazy beasts.

Realistically, it wouldn't be easy. Crosley hadn't really lifted anyone purely with his magic in a while since his excursion in circus performance-

Timepiece tries to size up the rock before making a comment about anything going on, moving about a distance from the rock as she checks on things.

Timepiece messes with her rear claws, carefully bringing out a solid string of silk and wrapping it about herself, before holding it out for Crosley. "Hardly my finest work unless we wished to spend hours on some rope, but it should help us hold together." She is already ahead of Crosley on the ignoring part.

"I'm just happy you make a lot more sense than those two!" He eyes the rock, trying to look for little dips and handholds in the face for leverage.

Oblivious is going to start trying to climb the rock, using his tail as an extra limb.

Crosley notices that it would be very hard to climb the rock from this angle, because it is very wet and very slippery.

Oblivious tries to climb the rock of Knowledge, not even looking at it. He slips on the VERY WET rock and falls back, damaging himself.

Timepiece notices a side of the rock that is not slippery, but does have a spike pit one will fall into if they fail to climb this side.

There were two. It was the echo of his failures in front of him, destined to be his undoing. He was alive in body, in spirit, and in mind, but not of the Soul. He had withered away, flesh gone, Real boy no more.
Yarper uses [Mimic] while everyone is looking over the rock, and in Oblivious' voice says "SOMEONE KILL THIS FUCKING ROCK!!!!!!!!!"

Oblivious continues to not learn from the lessons the ROCK OF KNOWLEDGE AND LOOKING AROUND BEFORE ACTING and proceeds to throw 7eventhousand into a wall, where 7eventhousand proceeds to EXPLODE.

Once the mallon reaches the bottom of the rock, it takes a look around carefully, before running into the woods, leaving the heer behind on the rock.

Noting that his plan didn't work, he attempts to catch the Mallon once it's reached the ground.

Oblivious tries to catch the mallon by FALLING INTO A SPIKE PIT. HE HASN'T LEARNED ANYTHING. NOTHING FROM THE ROCK OF KNOWLEDGE.

Timepiece just goes back to looking for anything to cover the pit up with, refusing to pay attention to whatever is going on after a second explosion.
Timepiece rolls a 20 sided die with a modifier of +10. A 23 is rolled.
Timepiece shoves the first Oblivious body into the spike pit with the second Oblivious body. The spike pit is now safe. This side of the rock can be climbed with no danger!.....right?

She taps a claw on the side of the rock with the pit, testing to see how sturdy and no slippery it is, and if the top looks as clear as the bottom.

Timepiece notices something shocking about the rock.....

It's only 10 feet tall.

It's not like it was a hill or anything.
It was.

He can only watch. "Why do I keep fuckin' this up!!!" He stares at the tragectory he sent Timepiece into. "What the fuck! What the fuck!"

He tries to scale the rock. Might as well.
Crosley didn't look before starting the climb.
Crosley rolls a 20 sided die with a modifier of -5. A 2 is rolled.
Crosley walks up to the rock, but due to not looking to make sure it's clear, proceeds to step into the dead Oblivious's face, which breaks and trips Crosley.
Wild Beast
"My final son. The rest have died......please......son........you must climb the rock of knowledge. USE YOUR EYES, BOY!"

"Ffuuckk..." He hisses, getting up. "Right, right. The side we found. Gods."
He tries again, double checking the rock for the dry side and scaling it slowly, ignoring the jeers of the wild beast.
Crosley rolls a 20 sided die with a modifier of +10. A 28 is rolled.
Crosley carefully grabs the heer, holding the beast they all hunted for.

"I bested you, beast of ire and jeer. Now companion, you are."
