Contributions: Notails have been victims of diseases for ages and the Q-class is their main defense against them. The Q-class is a war based protection class that protects notails from non-normal enemies, such as sicknesses and animals.
Traits
This character can look at a situation realistically and decide when to give up or back off. This sometimes causes the character to back away from situations that can possibly won with a bit of effort or luck.
This character is more able to survive in an unfavorable environment, given time. This character is able to handle radical changes without folding under pressure.
If a non-military or military emergency is declared nearby by an authority with jurisdiction over an organization this character belongs to, this character will be notified with a call to serve a duty. They can choose to accept or else they may face consequences for failing to serve.
Personality & Traits
Found in swarms, and only near disaster. If one spots a group of Q-classes they should quickly assume there's an infection sweeping the area, an infection they may not even be noticed. Notails never had a need for a military that fought against an intelligent species until they reached space. Before gaining the Y-eotail class who would be that military force, the notails had and still have, the Q-class. Sicknesses, anomalies, and raging powerful animals, those are the things the Q-class puts up with.
From an early age Q-classes pair with other Q-classes and go questing. They learn to work together to take down animals and build fires. Q-classes enjoy fire almost too much and are attracted to heat sources. While many think Q-class swarms stay together all the time, this is the opposite of the truth. Q-classes do not care about who is in their swarm. The swarm constantly breaks up and reforms, with none of the members caring for who else joined up. Everyone is on the same team. While some Q-classes may form a close bond with one of two people, even in those cases they don't expect those to join them in every swarm they're in, but will gladly team up with when they are.
When Q-classes get out of the woods they train in the tactics they'll use for a wide range of situations, and the moment they hit adulthood they'll be deployed. Q-classes are masters of staying cool in every situation on the battlefield. Panicking leads to death and they have no intention of dying to a microscopic creature. Q-classes deal with situations where they may have to round up innocent, yet infected people and kill them to protect the rest of the population. This kind of lifestyle leads them to have rather dark humor and be rather nonchalant about death.
Q-classes are the masters at gathering information quickly and sending it back for review. They don't use this talent just collect info on infections, they also use it for gossip. Q-classes gather up gossip fast in their travels and they're quick to share it. They are known for bad talking people behind their backs. If confronted Q-classes tell the person that they meant everything they said and to get over it. To Q-classes everyone bad talks someone behind their back on some level, there's no need to take offense. When it comes to Q-classes, it's actions over words. Someone can talk down about you all they want but if they can't throw a punch when it's needed it doesn't matter.
Q-classes like people who can admit that everyone is different the most. Considering a Q-class swarm can be made of Q-classes from all around the universe, it's get over yourself or die. After missions, Q-classes like to enjoy a good round of drinks and shit talk each other. This is all friendly banter for Q-classes, but many other classes would find offense to being in the middle of this.
Subtypes
Y-eotail class: The Y-class broke off from the Q-class once notails reached space and became its own class.
Special
Disease resistance: While all notails are disease resistance the Q-class are even more resistant than the rest. Unfortunately, this trait causes Q-classes to have a shortened lifespan as they ironically gain a disease where their body overreacts and attacks itself. Most Q-classes do not live to reach the age where this starts though.
Trivia
• When a Q-class gets infected with a sickness that is extremely infectious like the clockwork virus, most of them will be quick to inform others before killing themselves before a fire. They refuse to infect others. Those who do not are considered the worst scum to walk the universe.
• Q-classes believe it's important to always carry items for making a fire. Fire is the most cleansing element.
• When Q-classes snap they go from completely calm into a wild rage and then returning to complete calmness. When a Q-class gets pissed they aim to finish their fights in one swift move. What they lack in physical strength they makeup in being resourceful, and also weapons. Mainly the latter.
